"This rental far surpassed both the pictures online and my expectations! My husband and I, along with two of our adult children and their significant others, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house is beautifully furnished, and attention has been paid to every detail. We could actually cook great meals in this kitchen because it was outfitted with every utensil and pan that you would ever need! Landlady Patte provided us with fresh eggs from her farm, tips on how to gather mussels, and ideas of fun places to visit on the island. We loved sightseeing on Whidbey Island, but loved coming back to this house with its fabulous deck and view even more!"

"My wife and 2 year old son and I stayed for a week and loved it. It was so peaceful. The tides coming and going and back country roads with the windows were wonderful. They set up all the gates for our little guy and it made it really easy and he loved playing with all the trucks and pre-stocked toys. Big bonus for parents. We only ate out one night and cooked there most nights and they had everything needed down to a blender for the homemade salmon chowder we made. My only suggestion would be a humidifier. We ended buying one as the heat really can dry out the space. Freeland is a quick drive away. We felt secluded but close enough to Freeland and there's a great back road to Langley. The shopping centers have all that you need and there's a good playground down in Freeland. See you again soon."

"Four generations of our family enjoyed a get away to this beautiful island setting! A new deck that runs the entire front of the house allowed us to sit and soak up sunshine while having a panoramic view of the waters of Port Susan, Mt Raineer to our right, Mt Baker to our left! The deck furniture includes plush outdoor seating with thick cushions great for napping. Our age range was 2 1/2 years to 94, and the home was ideal for both. Our grandson spent hours entertaining himself with the amazing selection of toys on the lower level. Older family members enjoyed comfortable beds & seating on the main floor. And watching the sunrise from the deck? Incredible!"

"My wife and I got married and chose this little getaway for our mini honeymoon. The place itself couldn't have been more accommodating. The only things you really need to bring are clothes and food. The bed was so comfortable I had to ask Mark what the secret was so I could set it up in my own home. Another fantastic feature was the hot tub and remarkable views we shared from it while sipping our morning coffee. Mark and Colleen are lovely folks and will make sure your stay is hiccup free. The photos and my review certainly don't do it justice. It's a steal for the price! I know my wife and I will be returning in the near future!"
