  • Fantastic Home Base

"My husband and I visited Kitsap County for a job interview, and found this location to be a great home base for the trip. The beach and lighthouse are a short distance from the Inn, and provided amazing locations and views for our morning exercise. Mount Baker, Mount Ranier, and everything the Puget Sound has to offer are right off the beach! The reader should believe the many positive reviews. The kitchen was stocked, the proprietors provided fresh bread from Poulsbo, they provided many tips on Kitsap County desinations, and the home and grounds are incredibly beautiful. We absolutely will stay here again!"

  • Fantastic Winter Vacation

"We spent the week before Christmas at this lovely home on Lake Sawyer. The views were spectacular, the lakefront yard was incredible, and the home was beautifully appointed. We were able to entertain our friends and family here with the space of the home and parking it was ideal. Our kids loved the tree swing, feeding the ducks and squirrels, and the game area upstairs. The home was decorated for Christmas for us to celebrate with our family. All of the beds were very comfortable, the linens were superb, and the kitchen had everything we needed for holiday cooking for a week. We love the smore's makings that were there to greet us when we arrived to cook over the firepit. Santa even came by boat to give the kids candy cane's We absolutely love this house for any season and will definitely return soon!"

  • A Great Place to Stay

"My wife and I stayed for a week during July of 2014 in this lovely house overlooking the ferry dock on the south end of the Island. We loved the rhythm of the arrival and departure of the ferries during the day and into the early evening. We had spent the previous week living in a cabin near the ferry dock at the north end of the island, but we much preferred staying in this house at the south end of the Island. Several friends joined us for dinner, and they loved this south-end location too. The only problem that we had was trying to decide where to have a glass of wine in the afternoon, dinner in the evening, and breakfast in the morning. The cluster of chairs down by the beach proved to be our favorite place for wine in the late afternoon; the upper deck, closest to the kitchen door, was our choice for breakfast; and the deck just below it was where we enjoyed dinner, while watching the sky darken and stars appear. When seated on either deck, we were surrounded by the large pots of flowering plants that Bruce, the owner, grows. It was easy to prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and there are two nice bedrooms from which to choose. Because the weather was lovely, we spent very little time in the living room, but it looks like a cozy place to be on a rainy day. In fact, we actually asked Bruce if would consider renting the house to us during the winter, because we loved staying there so much during the summer. We would recommend this house without reservation to anyone wishing to spend a week on lovely Vashon Island."

  • Perfect in every way

"A well maintained home with beautiful views of the sound, the ferrys to Port Townsend, and the mountains. We were there for a week long weaving class in Coupeville. It was an easy drive into Coupeville, and to come home every night to sunsets, views and a beautiful, well equipped kitchen was heaven. It truly is as good as it looks in the picture, and yes, there is a lot of driftwood there. Thank you for lending your lovely home, and for providing so many amenities to your guests."
