"We booked the Manor 18 months ahead of arrival and were so excited for our family get away, but after hopping on this site for some info gathering for packing purposes, we saw a 2 star recent review that really freaked us out. I never write reviews but thought I had better jump on here and verify that if those things were true about broken this and that, they aren't any longer.
We were so relieved when we arrived, first thing the kids did was let out a yell and jump in the awesome pool. We were holding our breath because the outside looked great but what were we going to find on the inside?!
We found a lovely farm house with ample room for the entire family (15 of us), the beds were new and really comfortable, mostly pillow top and one memory foam, twin bed had older firm mattresses but the kids didn't care, that's what they have at home lol. No ants, no broken door knobs, no lumpy beds, no broken gate, clearly a well taken care of property. While we were there, a gardner came, pool maintenance came at 10 right before we checked out and he asked if it was a good time to clean, which we appreciated but we were checking out so it was fine. We were really sad to only get one day at the Manor but we were just in town for a wedding and didn't realize how much fun and how much there was to do there. Olympia is a cool town, too, and we have already booked 4 days next July at the Manor. The pictures do it justice, there was no disappointment, and we really just can't say enough about how accommodating the property was and how great Misty was to deal with. The entire family is excited for next summer."

"Perfect place for families to get away, relax and play! Easy acces to the lake, great water temp for swimming, kayaking, and water play. Nice overall setting. The house is huge and has lots of space. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms, although the shower situation doesn't make much sense. One in the master bedroom and then one to share with rest of family. The shared bathroom is a good size but the shower itself is a chore. It's small, you have to point shower head towards wall to avoid getting water all over the floor, making it a challenge and not so comfortable to shower in. Further more, if you're an adult, it could pose more challenges depending how big you are? Showers for two don't work well. Lots of beds, movies, games, wifi - we felt like we were in a home away from home. Kitchen has most everything needed to cook and clean. This was our second stay and we really love it here. Definitely a great place for some family lake fun and relaxation. We lucked out on the weather :) Would highly recommend!"

"The house sits at the bottom of a hill right on the edge of the Puget Sound with no neighboring houses. There is something soothing about watching the tide current coming and going. My son and I enjoyed using the canoe several times and walking the beach. This huge house is well laid out with multiple places where you can get away by yourself or enjoy a group game or meal at the large table. While Shelton is nearby for shopping or a meal out, this is not a place for tourism seekers. Come with food because once you are there you won't want to leave this retreat."

"Our family had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. The house was impeccably clean, and we fully enjoyed the location - who could ask for anything more than all those gorgeous trees (complete with very talkative squirrels) and being so close to the water. We used the paddle board and kayaks and explored the cove. We loved watching the mother swallow flitting in and out of her nest on the dock. The hot tub was wonderful. We visited the Wild Felid center and were all impressed with the large collection of felines that they care for. We would definitely go back, and would highly recommend this location to anyone for a restful, fun vacation."
