"My girlfriend and I wanted a retreat weekend to catch up after 50+ years. This charming house was perfect! It had everything we needed but we spent most of our time outdoors under the canopy drinking wine and talking!. I can't even describe how beautiful and lovingly maintained the grounds are! And the view......oh my. There are so many conversation and entertainment areas outdoors, we felt a little bad that we didn't use them! And Debbie and her sister are a delight. Everyone should visit this unique property and be awestruck like we were."

"I recently stayed on a Saturday night while attending the OysterFest in nearby Shelton. The suite was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed (and then some). While there is a highway nearby it wasn't a problem for us and we both slept very well in the king bed. The view from the suite is fantastic and the space overall felt more like a house than a rental unit.
The town of Allyn has more to offer than we had anticipated. There are interesting shops and restaurants within walking distance - in addition to the ice cream shop on the ground floor. This is a great place for a family since you can put the kids on the hideabed in the living room. The fireplace works very well and would keep you toasty on a blustery winter night.
It's an easy getaway from Seattle but you feel like you're far, far away.
I'd love to return to this property!"

"Mt husband and I rented this home with our 4 young children (ages 1-9) and we absolutely loved it. I grew up just a few houses down so I had a specific criteria for a rental in Gig Harbor and this home exceeded our expectations. We ate most meals on the back porch and enjoyed having family and friends over because of the ample entertaining space. We rented the cottage for my mom to stay in so it was a perfect set up.
The kitchen is very well stocked and the gas grill was perfect for grilling oysters Rockefeller from the oysters we picked up in front of the house!
The beds are not very comfortable, but we were so tired after full days of activity that it wasn't a big deal.
It was also a great location to use as a base for exploring surrounding attractions-we drove to Mt Ranier and Quinalt Rainforest.
The town of Gig Harbor is beautiful and quaint."

"I almost hate to recommend this place as much as I'm about to. Don't want it booked solid next summer!
This beautiful home is far enough away to feel remote, yet close to Seattle and shopping in nearby West Olympia.
Among its many features:
*Stunning view, right on the inlet
*Immaculately clean inside and out
*Very well equipped - everything you'd need for a short or long stay
The owner was staying next door. She introduced herself, brought us a wonderful bottle of wine, and that was the last we saw of her. Not intrusive at all. The walk to the beach was down a flight of easy stairs. A landing above the high tide line held a canoe, a kayak and two chairs. The outdoor fireplace just outside the kitchen was perfect for late-night s'mores. Comfortable bedding, generously sized kitchen, plenty of parking.
Recommend Steamboat Grill and Greens (formerly Steamboat Annie's) for a quick take out meal. Also, Island Market for basic needs, even has fresh meat and produce. Both are less than two miles from the property.
Insider tip: watch walking out to the water at low tide...the soft mud can be like quicksand if you're not careful. Bring some sturdy beach shoes for walking over clam shells and barnacles. (Oh and don't be too attached to them if you know what I mean.)
Everything was exactly as advertised and more. Dealings with owner were pleasant and professional. Damage deposit refund processed promptly. I would most definitely return!"
