  • Wonderful Location!

"We stayed for two weeks at this wonderful home after losing our mother. The home was warm and welcoming. It was set up nicely with everything we needed, and the owners were great to work with. We had wonderful warm weather one day and were able to enjoy the hot tub and the cold weather and snow on another day. Being on the water and in the wonderful town of Gig Harbor was just what we needed to recharge our batteries. We will definitely stay again."

  • Multinational family gathering

"It's a challenge to get all of my family members to unanimously agree to something as pricy as renting a vacation home... and we DIDN'T all agree that this was the property we were most excited by when we were initially researching and booking our reservations in the Gig Harbor area. After spending more than a week at the Del Mar property, I feel safe in saying that we WILL unanimously choose to return to it in the future. Highlights: location, location, location! My brother and his family live one freeway exit away. That same freeway exit (maybe a mile from the property) boasts access to Albertson's, Target, Costco, Walgreens, a sporting goods store, the YMCA (you can pay per visit), a bank, and at least two Starbuck's coffee shops. Continue two additional freeway exits toward the Tacoma Narrows bridge to find Urgent Care (we needed it), Safeway, Michael's, and the numerous other stores and restaurants you'd expect to find in a shopping district. Though we had six out-of-town adult travelers visiting a family with two small children, we were able to make due with a single "small car" rental. Later in our trip, four additional adults and two children joined us for the day and we were comfortable with the amount of common space in the home for meals, kid activities, and visiting. Minor FYIs - the kitchen is well-equipped as a vacation kitchen, but if you're planning to cook most of your meals, there are a few things you might want to bring with you: muffin tin, measuring cups, hand mixer. We donated a set of measuring spoons to the cause. We found one puzzle and a couple copies of the original Trivial Pursuit; bring your own playing cards and/or activities for younger kids. Alternatively, we learned that a toddler, a pre-schooler, a kindergartener, and a first grader can entertain themselves for more than an hour playing the piano in the family room. Also noteworthy: Warren was wonderful to work with, even purchasing unscented laundry detergent to accommodate a member of our group with asthma and severe allergies. The house instruction booklet was concise and straight-forward. Once our stay was booked, he gave us his cell phone number and made himself available for anything we might need. We look forward to our next visit!"

  • Excellent All-Around!

"My wife and I stayed at the Gig Harbor Guest House for 12 days. It was a most enjoyable and pleasant stay. Without hesitation, we highly recommend the Guest House. The house is as close to the water as one can be, very close to the historic downtown, quiet, modern, and just a superb place to stay and kick back. Marlene is an excellent hostess. She provides everything that a guest would expect and wish to have to make a stay comfortable. And before you leave take a look at the name of the dock and the pictures of the fishing boats on the walls - there is a fascinating connection with local history and heritage! Great place - highly recommended."

  • Valentine's guests

"My husband and I went to this cabin on Crescent Lake for a Valentine's get away. It was peaceful, right on the lake. The deck has a lovely view up lake and we could sit and watch the eagle and blue herons fly over. It was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay and the owner was very accommodating. We would stay here again. We enjoyed our romantic get away."
