  • Beautiful home with lots of toys

"We enjoyed a multigenerational Memorial Day weekend in this beautiful home with SO much to occupy us, rain or shine. The kitchen is so well stocked, the rooms are appointed so wonderfully (artwork everywhere!) and there are so many extras you can't get bored. We kayaked on the sound every day (life jackets and paddles abound) exploring the cove and its plentiful starfish, we walked to the marina for a snow cone, we visited the Wild Felid Advocacy center (a TRULY MUST see a mere 5 min. drive away), we hot tubbed, and enjoyed the stars from the dock. The children in our group adored the craft area and the quiet getaway downstairs for reading or watching your favorite movie is just excellent. The house is super clean and in terrific repair. The correspondence with the owner was very pleasant and helpful. I can't recommend this home highly enough!"

  • Perfect place to relax and renew

"The photos don't do this lovely home justice, and that's really how we felt from the moment we arrived--at home. The property was exceptionally clean, scrupulously maintained, and generously stocked. The owners have thought of everything--from carefully labeling the light switches, to providing detailed, explicit instructions on how to light the gas-log fireplace, to generously leaving a well-stocked larder of staples (flour, sugar, couscous, arborio rice, herbs and spices) with instructions to "help yourselves." We spent hours a day sitting on the spacious deck, looking out over the Pickering Passage to the Olympics in the background and listening to the birds. The superb sound system was an unexpected pleasure, as was the treasure trove of jazz and classical CDs. We couldn't have asked for a more restful, relaxing, enjoyable vacation. Thank you, Todd and Lynne, for sharing your jewel of a home with us."

  • 7 Days of Unbelievable Oasis on a Quiet Island Cove

"Comfort and serenity in an adorable little package. Photos don't do the place justice! Tremendous style and quality of cabin appointments (comfy beds, bedding, linens, and kitchen-wares) aromatherapy of Meyer's Clean Day products at every basin, revive, refresh, and remind you of the exceptional hospitality at your asking...beach/water access on site (they lend you kayak and canoe, life jackets, clamming boots) though beware: stairs are steep, and the beach requires a bit of physical finagling when the tide is out. Pups enjoyed the treats, the shared grounds (another caveat: owner's 2 dogs roam the property. Incredibly sweet dogs and well-controlled by owners, but does require some consideration of the dogs you bring to the property) the beach, and curling up on a blanket on the huge leather sofa for a nap as you absorb the tranquil marine air and sounds of birds, boats, and rustling trees--dreaming dogs. And don't get me started with the wonder that is The Callahan's. Morning brings decadent and soothing treats straight from her oven. Despite the potentially awkward cabin on-site with owner's home, the arrangement of architecture and well-planned wisteria AND hosts' phenomenal respect for your privacy, and genuine concern for your comfort...let's just say my introverted self LOVED it here! I had several guests here during my week-long stay...they all echo my raves."

  • I can see why they call it the "Treehouse."

"My girlfriend and I spend the weekend (February 15-17) at this property and even though the weather was rainy, windy, and cold, we were completely cozy and content thanks to the gas stove and ample heaters built into every room. I have to say I was surprised by how beautiful the house and view were. Although the photos are okay, the real thing was quite impressive. The view of the water, framed by the madrona, fir, and alder trees was amazing and several couches made a perfect place to read, nap, and just get away from it all. Top notch appliances, utensils and cookware, and unflappable wifi despite the remote location and stormy weather made for a great place to stream House of Cards. All in all, a perfect weekend!"
