  • Beautiful views, great house!

"Great house on the inlet. The house came with everything a family would need, including towels and linens. The house is large and can accommodate one or two families. In addition, the neighbor was very helpful! I would highly recommend this house to those with families or those looking for a nice, relaxing weekend getaway."

  • Week in the NW

"The house was great. Clean, comfortable with plenty of supplies and fully stocked kitchen. The lake is beautiful and enjoyed keeping the bird feeder stocked (thanks for leaving supplies for the birds!). Terry is an extremely responsive and informative owner and made the experience very easy. The ferry schedule kept us on our toes (from FL not used to being dependent on the ferry) but once you get the hand of it, it is quite doable....have to be aware of when the last ferry departs to get you back to the island. Was a great change from FL and TX. Thanks again for sharing your comfortable home with us."

  • LOOK NO FURTHER! LOCATION! BEAUTIFUL DECOR! VIEW!

"We came back to the sweet town of Olympia to visit friends and family and we were so pleased that this popular vacation property was available. Because there were just two of us, we stayed on the main level unit here earlier in the year, during the Fall, but to be here in the Spring was simply gorgeous. The brightly colored tulips were all abloom around the property, the views again were spectacular! The panoramic view of Mt. Rainier, Capitol Lake and Puget Sound was breathtaking! The owners are so nice and accommodating. It's hard to find a clean, safe VRBO just across the bridge from downtown. And it's really close to great shopping at the Capitol Mall with movie theater, shops and restaurants. As usual, our VRBO was exceptionally clean, flawlessly decorated, fully equipped and very comfortable. Absolutely first class from clean luxurious carpet, to perfect wall paint and abundant lighting. There is a charming front patio that is great to take in the view. If I had a large group I'd rent the entire property, but it is nice to have the flexibility and we only needed the main floor. IF THIS IS AVAILABLE BOOK YOUR RESERVATIONS NOW OR WAIT TIL IT IS AVAILABLE!!!"

  • Totally Awesome Vacation Spot!!

"Our family of three spent a three-day weekend at this Harstine Island retreat and had a supremely enjoyable stay. The cabin is cozy and warm, centered around a large wooden table for family activities. The kitchen may not be granite and shiny, but it is totally what you expect in a woodsy island cabin. Our 15-year old daughter took over the loft area as her own space. A huge wrap-around deck and easy chairs provide outdoor spaces as well as a large comfy hammock slung between trees. We took walks to the beach nearby, hiked along the bluffs, and enjoyed the sunny beach out on the point. The view across Puget Sound is beautiful and relaxing. Sandwiched in-between a very busy trip to the Northwest in which we hiked and climbed far up Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainier and Mt. Hood, to the point of exhaustion, the island was a welcome retreat in which we were able to lay back and do very little as we wanted. One drawback is that there is no wi-fi in the cabin, however this was really an inconvenience as we simply timed our internet usage to our visits to the community center where the signal is strong. At the central building there is a large and inviting pool, (the photos at this site do not really do it justice, or the island or the cabin for that matter, and should be updated) large enough to swim laps in. The large and hot jacuzzi was also well used to soak our weary bones. This is a quiet spot, so if you are looking for a hub of activity or have a lot of restless teenagers who need to be tethered to their devices you might seek out a place closer to civilization, but I totally recommend it as a getaway when what you want to do is recuperate from our all-too-busy lives."
