  • Great house for a quiet retreat!

"We rented this house for a week so we could visit with my parents from Ohio. It's a well-maintained house that has a great view of the bay. It's about 20 minutes to town, making it a great place to have a relaxing vacation. The layout of the house was perfect for our needs. Having the kids downstairs and the adults upstairs was nice, although the stairs made me remember why I bought a ranch house! It was interesting to watch the tide come in and out. For most of the week, we had a couple of seals in the water just outside the house. We enjoyed watching them pop their heads out and swim around. While the house is pretty far away from most tourist activities, we really enjoyed our time here. It was nice and quiet the whole time. The only issue we had was that the weather in the area was pretty warm when we were there. The main living area became super hot even with fans blasting. Fortunately, the lower level remained cool and we had somewhere to escape the heat. The information from the owners was super helpful and all correspondence was quickly answered. Overall, every one of us enjoyed the property. The ages in our party ranged from 9 (who turned 10 while on vacation) to 59. It was a great week that we'll remember for a long time. If you're looking for a quiet retreat, this is the place!"

  • Our family reunion at Fernbrook Beach House

"The setting of Fernbrook Beach House was absolutely perfect for our family reunion with regal Mt Rainier rising high above the calm bay, visible from anywhere in the house as well as the lawn. Because I live near an airport I am beset by noise so that I basked in the quiet surroundings with just the flutter of leaves in the cooling breeze or the lap of the waves on the beach. The entire scene proclaims, "Rest here, enjoy each hour in the company of family you seldom see. Do not rush for any reason--all will be well. Spend an hour or two in the hammock, go pick some of those juicy wild black berries--so good with ice cream for dessert." Then in the evenings, there were tables large enough to accommodate the Scrabble and cribbage games for all. As if that weren't enough, the library was extraordinary. If it hadn't been such fun talking with my family I would have spent evenings reading. You already know that it was clean and well stocked on our arrival. I did have to remove the down comforter on my bed in the 85 degree weather even with the practical fan turned on. All of our family expressed great pleasure in the house, its setting and privacy. The entire visit was a joy in every way. Thank you for providing such a comfortable home for us travelers."

  • Great accommodations for the price & location

"Can't beat the price for this extremely clean 2 bedroom townhouse. Very nice centralized location in Tacoma. Made it very easy for our Son who is stationed at Ft. Lewis to visit. We travel light when flying and the full size washer & dryer made our 12 day stay a breeze. Kimberly was very nice and let us have our privacy throughout our stay. Knowing we were only a phone call or a knock on the door to her upstairs home away if we needed anything. I enjoy morning walks and daily would walk down to Pacific Ave. then North to the old City Hall Clock Tower and back, which is a 3 mile walk with a nice hill climb back to the townhouse from Pacifice Ave. On my walks back to the townhouse, it was nice to stop into the Tacoma Glassblowing Studio on S. 23rd St., just east of Pacific Ave. The guys are great and will let you sit in and watch them make their art. If you have the time, take a session to make your own glass blown art, you won't regret it. It was also nice to be able to have secured parking behind a rolling gate each night. We'd rent this 2br/1 bath townhouse again."

  • Gig Harbor Beach House

"My family was in Gig Harbor for my daughter's wedding. Staying at the Gig Harbor Beach house was a treat for us all. It is very clean, well furnished, LARGE kitchen, and a large deck overlooking Henderson Bay. It was like stepping back in time when families spent quality time just hanging out together. Jack, the owner, was great to work with, very responsive. The rate was very reasonable too. My family wanted to stay another week - hopefully we can do it again sometime, we would definitely return to the beach house! Thanks!"
