  • Family retreat

"We did enjoy or stay at the Agate Beach House the home is beautiful and the view wonderful. The beds were comfortable and well stocked with blankets etc. Everything we needed was available. This is great place for adults would recommend board games and some beach toys if bringing young children."

  • We didn't want to leave!

"This is a funky 70's house in a KILLER location, truly on top of the water with gorgeous Olympics and sunset views. It feels like being on a boat that doesn't move! Our teens loved their closet rooms, the huge deck, fishing, snorkeling for crabs and kayaking out to the island. They visited the Ol Swimming Hole every day. We all enjoyed the antics of the resident seals, eagles and kingfishers. Cool jellyfish, too! Once the teens left to go home we had my mom come stay and she loved it too. The deck is so relaxing, the sunsets are amazing, the house and deck offer sun or shade, privacy or togetherness. It was really handy to have a washer/dryer and NOT having internet was a great break. I could have stayed for much longer than a week! A few tips: - the pictures are exactly what it looks like - it's very clean but if you want brand new perfection it's not for you - be sure to shop before you get the ferry as the one island store is small and spendy. - the one island restaurant is worth a night out. Good burgers! - Andy's Marine Park is an easy hike to a beach and cool saltwater lagoon - the historic Johnson Farm is only open on the weekends and has a little farmers market Saturdays starting at 10"

  • Family get together.

"This was a wonderful place to get away for a couple days. A short drive from all destinations and close to the airport. My sons enjoyed 8 disc golf courses in a short distance. Close to Point Defiance Zoo and Mount Rainier. The house was very comfortable and cozy. Loved the deck on the main floor! Spent most of our time out there. Loved being able to spend time with my family all under one roof. We had deer visit us right in the yard. The hot tub was not filled above the jets so we did not use it, but that was the only problem."

  • I can see why they call it the "Treehouse."

"My girlfriend and I spend the weekend (February 15-17) at this property and even though the weather was rainy, windy, and cold, we were completely cozy and content thanks to the gas stove and ample heaters built into every room. I have to say I was surprised by how beautiful the house and view were. Although the photos are okay, the real thing was quite impressive. The view of the water, framed by the madrona, fir, and alder trees was amazing and several couches made a perfect place to read, nap, and just get away from it all. Top notch appliances, utensils and cookware, and unflappable wifi despite the remote location and stormy weather made for a great place to stream House of Cards. All in all, a perfect weekend!"
