"We have nothing but praise for Tom. Very good about getting back to you so you have no misgivings regarding your stay. It's a great location and is very roomy for us 2 couples. Great hot tub for 2; there was a sign posted to not use after 9 p.m., I assume because of noise as neighbors are in close proximity on tight lots. We definitely pushed this (as 9 is too early), but had no repercussions. The reason I can't give 5 stars is the beds are not great, too soft, and one is only about a foot off the floor. Also, the bed linens need to be thrown out. They were rough, well used flannel sheets. This affected our sleep. New firm beds and crisp COTTON sheets with new comforters are desperately needed. The view is magnificent! Two large picture windows give you lit up Seattle at night (too bad you can't visualize much of it from hot tub) as unit stands on top of a very hilly street that is reminiscent of San Francisco! Nice neighborhood with nice eateries, grocery store, etc. Tom has a binder full of great Seattle information. He is an attention to detail guy, so the bed situation was kind of a surprise, but I bet he fixes this soon.... He does leave you food that is mentioned in others' notes; we were too busy with activities and wedding, so weren't able to partake, but that is a sweet touch~"

"This was one of the houses my 18 East Coast relatives stayed in while here for my daughter's wedding. She lives in Ballard, the night before wedding beach barbecue was in Ballard, and the wedding was in Ballard so the location was perfect. We loved being able to walk to restaurants, grocery store, the locks .... The house was very clean and comfortable. It was nice to have the 3 bedrooms for privacy and the good-sized open space for hanging out together. We didn't do much food preparation, but found pretty much everything we needed (no vegetable peeler for my mango). There was parking for one vehicle, but if for some reason you have more than one, you might find street parking a little tight. The one issue we had was that the email I received said check-in was at 3 but the electronic lock wasn't set to work with the code we were given until 4. But John answered my phone call right away and was able to get us in immediately - very nice and helpful. I would recommend John to others without hesitation. We had so much fun I might even get my family here again. Love Ballard. Thank you John."

"We loved every part of this amazing rental! It is even better than described or pictured. The house is very well maintained and clean. We felt so comfortable and relaxed and totally "at home". The location is perfect - walkable to anything you'd want to do in Ballard. We rented for a month and did not have a car. It's a few blocks from the Rapid Ride bus stop, making any trip to downtown Seattle easy, quick, and affordable. There are cafes, restaurants, shops, a Sunday farmers' market, grocery stores, bars, and places of interest all within walking distance. We were fortunate to meet the very friendly and helpful owners, which only added to our love of this house. My only hesitation in our high recommendation is that it'll become more difficult to find a vacancy here in the future! :) This will definitely be our go-to rental any time we're in the Seattle area."
