Convenient to Downtown Seattle & the Seattle Convention Center
"The Nest is very convenient to the Seattle Convention Center and the main tourist attractions in Seattle. It's a cozy small city apartment. We took the train from the airport and walked up hill to the condo complex. Easy to do even with luggage. We did not rent a car during our stay and were able to get to the Space Needle, Pike's market and the waterfront within 10 minutes. The condo had all the essentials for our family with 2 teenagers. The kitchen is a galley kitchen with all the cooking essentials though is narrow and accommodates only one person at a time. The living room could use a set of curtains or blinds to block the afternoon and early evening sun which was very bright for 3-4 hours. And this also decreased the efficiency the portable AC unit because of the heat from the sun. Opening the windows was very nice, but I would have liked to have seen screens on the windows because we had flies in every time we opened the living room windows. The layout is a bit unusual with a large window opening from one bedroom into the living room that is closed off with folding shutters. And both bedrooms shared a closet, so if you opened both closet doors, you can walk from one bedroom to another through the closet. This gives a little less privacy than I cared for. For a couple or family with 1-2 children, the condo would be a fine size, but for 6 adults, unless you are only sleeping there, the condo would be very tight. We also found that the outlets were still in need of repair as mentioned in a prior review. One other small item was that the fitted sheet on the queen bed did not grip well because the elastic was worn."

"The West Seattle Cottage was perfect for our family trip to see the city and the surrounding natural attractions. The community feels safe and is walkable to many ships and restaurants. The neighborhood is full of vintage bungalows and houses, and the people are friendly. The beach is a two minute drive, the city is a hop, skip, and a ferry ride away (about a 10 minute drive in normal traffic), the Olympic Penninsula is about 3-4 hours away, and Mt. Rainier about an 1 1/2. The cottage itself is well appointed and comfy. We have four in our family, and had plenty of room for a week. I would definitely stay here again."

Capital Hill weekend for family with two young adult children
"Harrison Modern was the perfect place for my husband and me to get together with our two college-aged children. There was something for everyone in the immediate neighborhood and beyond. We enjoyed the space, the off street parking, the access to public transit (buses), great coffee (TNT, Vivace), food, Molly Moon's ice cream and a cheerful white kitchen in which to make my steel cut oatmeal every morning. Our contact Ian may not have been onsite but he responded to questions via email as if he were standing next to me. Great place, can't wait to come back again."
