  • Beautiful home, wonderful stay

"We were in the Magnolia area for a recent wedding and the Magnolia cottage was perfect. We loved how comfortable and lovely the cottage was and the location was great. Walking to Discovery Park, the Locks, and Ballard was so much fun and it was easy to drive to other parts of the city. We also have 14 month old and the cottage had a stroller and pack n play for use, which was very nice. Our whole family had a wonderful stay and would love to stay here again in the future."

  • It felt like home.

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very comfortable and charming home. My wife and I spent four nights there, and it felt like home. Great kitchen and wonderful antique stove that cooked like a dream. We had friends visit on a warm day and enjoyed sitting out by the fireplace in the shade. Convenient walking distance to the Magnolia restaurants. We especially liked Nikos Gyros, very tasty! Also loved all the added lighting in the house. Nice neighborhood, close driving distance to Ballard neighborhood or downtown. The buses stop very near the house, but unless all the windows are open the noise from them is not bad. Bed comfortable, master bath very nice, I may remodel mine like that. iPod player convenient for playing music. Kitchen well stocked with everything we needed. Look forward to staying again!"

Magnolia Travel Tips

Magnolia lodging

Magnolia is the second largest section of Seattle, but it's only connection to Seattle is the three bridges that run above the railway tracks. This makes Magnolia a great get away while still being conveniently close to the sights, shops and entertainment available in the city of Seattle.

If you like peace and quiet, Magnolia has plenty of both. It's secluded and tranquil in any season, perched elegantly on top of the natural shores of the Puget Sound. Explore the beauty of the shoreline and stroll the vast green of Magnolia's parks. Magnolia lodging can be found nearby, so you have a place to rest in between the adventurous trails.

Beautiful Discovery Park

Since most Magnolia condos are placed along the water, the vast 530 acre Discovery Park takes up a good portion of the island. What little part of the park that includes shoreline has beaches with water too cold to swim in, so visitors often prefer to hike the long trails that lead up into the hilly landscape of the island. The trails lead all the way down to the Puget Sound, where tide pools and the beautiful West Point Lighthouse, which was built in 1881, are located.

Dinner and a Home in Magnolia

If you want to try some good food close to one of the Magnolia condos, Palisades is the place to go. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the water and a fabulous menu that includes tender teriyaki beef, thick-cut French toast, crab cakes, salmon bisque, jumbo tiger prawns and much more. They also have a delightful buffet for those that want to sample everything.

The Puget Sound vacation rentals in Magnolia give you amazing views at a decent price. You don't have to spend half of your vacation driving around Seattle; you can just find a vacation rental in Magnolia and enjoy a quiet and comfortable vacation.
