"My husband and I absolutely loved the beach bungalow. We will be back for sure and can't wait to come up with a reason to visit Seattle again. We have told many of our friends and family about our stay and are certain they will book some time there even though they live in the Seattle area. It's a wonderful getaway and yet only a few miles from Downtown Seattle. The flowers on the table were a great touch too. Cheers!"

"Magnolia Cottage was perfect! Cozy, comfortable, very quiet and immaculate. Great location- only a few blocks from downtown Magnolia, Discovery Park, good restaurants and a great grocery store with specialty items and yummy prepared foods for a quick meal. Communication with VRBO owners was easy and immediate. Will definitely be back. Recommend highly!"

"My wife and I spent a two week vacation in Seattle in late Sept-early Oct. We were not familiar with the city but after some research (incl. asking folks on TripAdvisor fora for advice) we narrowed our search to about 4 neighborhoods including Magnolia. Magnolia would seem to be a little remote for a tourist vacation but in fact it is perfect. It is actually closer to downtown and to interesting neighborhoods and parks than many of the areas that appear to be more centrally located because of the total lack of traffic in getting anywhere. 10 minutes to the center of downtown maximum; right across the bridge from Ballard and Fremont and so on.
This house is in outstanding condition; the owner and agents are extremely easy to contact and to deal with; the kitchen and the bathrooms are in totally updated contemporary shape (tho we only cooked at home once in the two weeks but the kitchen is completely equipped for everything); the separation of the two bedrooms and their bathrooms by the LR/DR/kitchen area made having guests stay over on one weekend extremely comfortable (and noiseless); the backyard is beautiful and the covered area for picnicking or just sitting outside is perfect. Landscaping both front and back are maintained as well as you would do at home (for some folks likely better). The house is absolutely to be recommended and I can't stress enough the advantages of the Magnolia neighborhood, a public library branch across the street and its small downtown (The Village) with one of Seattle's most outstanding restaurants, two other very acceptable restaurants, a coffee shop that opens before dawn, supermarket, drug store, banks, a gas station, a liquor store and all in a remarkably tranquil environment where folks actually walk (early and late) and it's green beyond belief (well, it's Seattle)."

"We LOVED the house! We enjoyed several wonderful family gatherings at the extra large dining room that overlooked Puget Sound. We only had 4 people staying at the house but I had my cousin's family over for dinner and had plenty of room for 9. The layout was perfect for us. Our mother took the upstairs bedroom so we had her separated from the rest of the noisy family downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots, pan and dishes to accommodate a large group and even had a good supply of staple items (such as cooking spray, spices) to get you started. The property managers were very helpful and flexible as we had to make changes to our reservation due to a family emergency. I had concerns about the stairs going into the house; Mary was kind enough to e-mail photos so I could forward them to my mother and let her make the decision. If you have someone in your party with limited mobility you should know there are several stairs to take down to get into the house, but my age 80-ish parent found them manageable, and in her words, “the view was worth it!” Again, on the mobility issue, someone with limited mobility may have difficulty with the downstairs shower which must be stepped down into about 2 feet. But, if you have no physical limitations you’ll love it. The location could not be beat. Magnolia is such a quaint part of town and from there you can drive to the Space Needle and downtown to Pike’s Market in about 10 minutes. We took several walks down to the beach and to the nearby marina where you can splurge on a fabulous dinner at The Palisades Restaurant or eat casual lunch outside Maggie’s café. I highly recommend this property!"
