"My wife and I spent a week at the Portage Bay guest cottage and could not have been more pleased. The cottage is tastefully decorated and has everything needed for a short stay away from home. The central location to both the University District and downtown Seattle was wonderful. We highly recommend both Pam and her guest cottage."

"We have visited this great city on a regular basis for over ten years to visit our son - and now our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter! This was a great find! Not only close to our family, but well located for shopping, sightseeing and of course, the fabulous Burke Gilman Trail. The house is immaculate, the landlord (Ron) is amazing - always there if needed, but unobtrusive. He keeps the gardens looking beautiful, which was a challenge this year in the heat. The garden, patio, balcony & fire pit are a huge plus. We loved sitting with our coffee in the mornings and looking at the lake and the trail. The apartment is so well equipped I was able to host seven people for a sit down dinner! Where else do you find this quality of rental along with a landlord at the door with freshly picked and cooked beets from his garden - "just peel and eat". Thank you Ron - we look forward to our visit next year."

"The house: We really enjoyed our stay at the University View House! It was clean, spacious and well-equipped for our needs. It has two cozy bedrooms, one bathroom, a large kitchen and an even larger living space (sitting room and dining room with a view...).
The owners have put together a welcome package that answers all the questions you might have.
The location: Easy access to all the places we wanted to visit. Parking was no problem. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. There are shops, supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance.
Highlights of our week in Seattle: The Star Wars exhibit at the EMP was worth a visit (and so was the entire museum); we also loved swimming in the Green Lake. We would also recommend the tour with Beneath The Streets to the historic passageways below the sidewalks at Pioneer Square: very interesting, informative and funny.
All in all, we had a great time in Seattle. And, of course, our cozy rental played a big part in this!"
