  • Beautiful place to stay!

"What a beautiful place to stay. My wife & 2 kids loved the place. The owners are very gracious & accommodating. Upon our arrival, the owners had cookies, milk, coffee, & orange juice all ready for us. Then offered our kids Legos to play with. Made for a perfect stay while we visited family in the area. We would definitely stay here again."

  • Robert & Rachael McLarty

"The house was exactly as described and perfectly suited to our needs. Janet was a pleasure to deal with. She met us when we arrived and walked us through the house. The property was very well maintained and spotless. The weather was lovely and the area offers a variety of local restaurants. We tried several and were never disappointed. We took the water taxi over to Seattle and found it to be very convenient and a lot of fun. We would highly recommend this property to couples for a romantic getaway or for adventure seekers. It's a wonderful spot to come home to after exploring the Puget Sound area."

  • Awesome - Didn't want to leave

"This place is a veritable paradise. The view of Puget Sound is jaw-dropping gorgeous. The garden - plants, flowers, vines - just breathtaking. The apartment is very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen, lots of towels and blankets, books, magazines and games. Bedrooms and kitchen are cozy and everything was in great working order. We rented a car and did some driving in the Burien area. Our preferred mode of transportation into Seattle was the light rail - the station is about a 5 minute drive from the apartment and it was super convenient and fun to ride. Don't miss the Chihuly Garden and Glass. We did a "DUCK" bus/boat ride and loved every minute of it. You get to learn about Seattle and be entertained at the same time (We were a little wary when the driver first boarded the vehicle - seemed like it was going to be way too corny - but he won us over with his humor and "performance"). Kubota Garden is lovely; a beautiful place to stroll and enjoy outdoor time. We hiked in Seward Park which was super nice since we're from Florida and used to very different "environs". We did the water ferry to Bainbridge Island - Fun! And of course we visited Pike Place Market. Had the best of service from Ron. He is 100% responsive to all inquiries. He is cordial and accommodating as the "landlord". There is a binder in the apartment with useful information about the area - including distances to a variety of attractions, parks, etc., and directions. The apartment has lovely original art and is nicely decorated. Can't say enough about the view from the deck - which is large, has comfortable seating, and was where we began the day with coffee, and ended the day with wine! Having a washer/dryer available was a great benefit as we left Seattle for an Alaskan cruise with clean clothes! This apartment is a great value which combined with excellent service from Ron warrants the 5 star rating. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the Seattle area."

  • Feels like a home

"My family (myself, wife, and our 2yr old) and I are wrapping up a 3 month stay at the Urban Oasis and we could not be more pleased with our experience. We recently moved back to the Seattle area and needed a temporary place to stay until our new apartment became available. We are so happy to have found this place. The location is perfect. Just a short drive (maybe 5mins; or $10-15 cab ride) to downtown Seattle but also close to other area attractions like Alki Beach (a must in the spring and summer) and hip California Ave in West Seattle with plenty of great restaurants, bars, markets, and shopping. Or, take a quick ferry ride to Vashon Island for a little more nature. The airport is also an easy 15 min ride away and avoids all the downtown traffic. The apartment is tastefully decorated and has felt like a true home during our stay. The garden surrounding the beautifully restored craftsmen is in full bloom and is quite a site (kudos Jim). The neighborhood offers quiet streets for walking with some stunning views of the Seattle skyline. The owners, Jim and Ellen, are wonderful hosts (and people) and make themselves readily available for anything you may need. Bottom line, the apartment is spacious, comfortable, clean, and in a great location. We would (and will) recommend the Urban Oasis to anyone coming to stay Seattle. We would also recommend it to any locals needing some temporary digs. Thank you Jim and Ellen!"
