This beautiful red and white antique fire fighting boat was built in 1929 and protected Tacoma's port from fire for 54 years all by itself. Another landmark that's hard to miss is the Murray Morgan Bridge. At night, this 1911 masterpiece is lit up by the shining lights of the city surrounding it. The massive steel lift bridge is currently closed to traffic, but you're still free to explore it on foot or bicycle and it's easy to find even in the daylight. Tacoma lodging can be found nearby, so the bridge might be visible from your accommodations.
