  • Great location for summer hiking

"I wanted to hike in the Mt Baker area. For close access, you can not beat this condo. Everything was provided for a pleasant stay. While there was no cell service, I found the internet access in the clubhouse was more than adequate to check emails and the internet though a bit slow. The setting on the Nooksack River was beautiful. Along with the Mt Baker hikes, there was a wonderful trail (Horseshoe Bend) less than a mile down the road. This condo was a great headquarters for my weekend of hiking."

  • Perfect home for multi-generational gatherings!

"We rented this home for a family get together and can not say enough about how well it worked for our mix of family. It perfectly met the needs of our group of children, adults, adults with special needs and grandparents. A special note- all of the toilets are ADA height and the many restrooms are all easily accessible. The personal walk through of the amenities was a wonderful touch and put us at ease to use all of the great features this house included. Debbie was extremely helpful with any questions we did have. When we arrived there was a hand made sign welcoming our guest of honor. It was a very personal touch that made us all feel welcome. The house was fully decorated with fall foliage and gourds. Beautifully done! Each room even had a flower arrangement bedside. The house came fully stocked with movies, music, games and puzzles. There was plenty to do inside and out. The additional services they offer is what made this such a stressless event. They helped us arrange a chef come and provide dinner one night. It was an amazing meal so beautifully done. They provided everything for a gourmet meal. The chef worked with me to provide a custom menu based on our tastes and wishes. By having them come in and provide the meal we were all able to visit and not worry about cooking. As we sat down to dinner, at this elaborate spread of fresh local food, we realized what a gift being able to be at our table it was. We could all visit and not be interrupted by other diners, not have to shout to be heard and could interact with our whole party all within our rental home. A pure gift! Did I mention the food was amazing? We also had a massage therapist come and provide 15 minute chair massages to each of our guests. What a treat for everyone. I really can't say enough about how much our family enjoyed this home. It was large enough to comfortably house us all and allow enough space for quiet time if you wanted it. We are already planning our next visit."

  • Beautiful area and beautiful home

"2 Couples in our 50's and 60's stayed here. This home is one of he highest elevations in the area for living. Beautiful sunsets, stars, and view of he water below. Very quiet, and with 2 decks, where the back deck/patio has a weber bbq. The kitchen is full of utensils, pans, silver ware, and has a dish washer, microwave, and stove/oven. The front room has a fireplace and a wood stove, and there is wood and kindling covered in the patio area. There a 3 beautiful rooms, and 2 bathrooms with showers, with one bathroom having a jackuzi. There are roads and trails just off of the property that are wonderful for walking and even biking. The location provides easy access to many activities on the island. There are kayak and bike shops, restaurants, and stores/shops to look at and buy things if interested. The owner was very accommodating when we asked if we could just stay 2 nights. He was also very helpful with sending us information about things to do in the area. There is nothing to clean up afterwards except for putting dishes, pans, silverware away clean. There were extra pillows and blankets, and even slippers as it is asked that shoes be taken off in the house. Therefore the entire house is very clean, and has many windows letting in lots of light. There is accessible music in each room, televisions, games to play, and wi fi. And finally, the ferry ride is a comfortable just under one hour ride from Anacortes, which is 1 1/2 hours north of Seattle. Dan/Janice, Chris/Julie"

  • from Victoria BC

"Our family (elderly parents, sister, husband and I) were travelling to visit my mothers cousin in Bellingham.... we choose to stay at Fairhaven Classic, because it was located within walking distance to great shopping, good restaurants, historic buildings....and the house was adorable! It met all our needs, clean, comfortable, well stocked, in a safe neighbourhood, and charming. We were sad to leave after 2 nights, and hope we have the opportunity to return. Favourite restaurants: Breakfast- Harris St Cafe, Lunch-Keenans, Supper-Skylarks, and Asian Bistro (delivery) In the evening visit the boardwalk for sunset, moon rise, trains....music. Favourite shops: A Lot of Flowers, Chuckanut Gallery and Garden. If traveling from Victoria? Washington State Ferry Sidney to Anacortes! Thankyou Amy for all your help in making our stay a wonderful memory!"
