  • Couldn't have been a better stay - right in the heart of Sudden Valley and access to everything!

"The reservation process was seamless and the owner responded quickly to my special request needing to arrive early. We also needed to extend our stay, so it was especially helpful that VRBO provides a link to reach the homeowner if needed. My daughter and I stayed 4 nights and were very comfortable here! The condo was stocked with everything we could need, from the travelers shampoo and soaps, to the fully stocked kitchen with all the basics and dishes and cooking equipment and extra blankets and pillows. They even provided board games and movies in the living room! This condo is just across the parking lot from a comfortable Mexican restaurant and bar and within walking distance to golfing, swimming, a coffee shop (in the barns) and Lake Louise is right across the street (with a nice walking/jogging path that goes around it!). We received a 'not-so-nice' note on our car the first night of our stay saying "this parking is private property" but we didn't make a fuss, we just moved the car over a space or two and that seemed to take care of it (even though the parking spaces aren't marked, there is plenty of parking at the condo). The owner was a pleasure working with and 100% of my security/damage deposit was promptly refunded back to my credit card seven days after checking out. After the cleaning fee and the nightly rate, it is a bit more than a regular hotel, but you get so much more for your money, the condo is comfortable, homey, stocked for preparing your own meals and close enough to plenty of options if you don't want to cook. I would highly recommend it next time I am in Sudden Valley!"

  • Excellent house for groups

"We had a group of 10 stay here for Thanksgiving. Wow - we were impressed - it is a beautiful home!! It truly feels like a retreat, with gorgeous woods surrounding you, an incredible hot tub on the deck (with an awesome view), and a lovely fireplace. Location was convenient to Seattle, 10 minutes off I-5. Several of our group went on day-long hikes in the area, while others stayed at the house - it worked well for everyone's needs. Kara, the property manager, was very responsive, helpful, and thorough - a pleasure to work with. We would love to come back another year!"

  • perfect

"My family and I had a wonderful time at the chalet. The view and peaceful surroundings were so relaxing. From our deck we observed eagles catching fish from the lake ,then landing in the trees not 15ft from us,amazing ! Also seen mothers and baby ducks and baby geese. My husband forgot his fishing pole,no worry poles provided at the chalet,he had such a good time fishing off the private dock. The biggest catch a 18in. Trout . The location was so convenient,we were able to go out for dinner and a movie, just 10 min. Away. Then back to lounge ,fish and somore's made in the fire pit .heaven! one day we packed a lunch and went to Whatcom falls park for a hike.gorgeous. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed making .meals together, especially barbecuing steaks on the great grill. My daughter and her husband stated it was the perfect vacation combo of being near shopping, dining, parks, theaters etc.and still feeling like you were in the remote lakeslde retreat.we hated to leave. The only negative aspect, the stairs may be problematic for some but being up in the trees and view view worth it. We certainly would return again and have recommended it to many."
