"My wife and I have stayed here during the summer months for more than ten years, and we plan to keep coming back, partly to escape Arizona's hot summers but also because it's such a charming place to stay. The owner has updated each room this year: the living room has new leather recliners, drapes, area rug, entertainment center, table, and lamp; the bedroom has been painted to coordinate with new bedding and drapes; and the bathroom colors were updated. Other reviewers have raved about the great view of Lake Whatcom, but we also enjoy the almost-daily sightings of deer and bald eagles. The home is meticulously maintained, and the kitchen has everything an avid cook could ask for. Great for short stays or for longer stays. Truly our home away from home for the foreseeable future!"

"Loved it!! Chalet was exactly as it was described on website and more! Views from decks spectacular as was the paddle round the lake. We live in a rural location without street lighting ourselves & therefore it was like a home from home. Loved watching the various birds coming down to feed. As we were over for our sons wedding it was great location for entertaining other friends/family who had made the trip (including the couple in the studio) as we would have done back home.
If we have the opportunity to return to Bellingham will be looking to rebook here if available."

"Point Williams Lodge is BREATHTAKING. We visited Point Williams lodge with our extended family for a holiday weekend in October 2015. Our group ranged in age from 16 to 86 years old and everyone was overwhelmed with it's beauty.
The home is an architectural masterpiece with finishings of extraordinary quality. The kitchen is very well appointed and a pleasure to cook in. Everyone in our group wanted to take a turn cooking! The main living room showcases a majestic stone wood burning fireplace, hardwood floors and beautiful leather furniture. In addition to the main living room there is a wonderful den where one can retire for a quiet read or a little TV time! The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and very spacious. Beautiful linens and towels throughout the home. The pool and jacuzzi are very clean and beautifully maintained.
The property and grounds surrounding the home are exceptional! The outdoor deck area with the wood burning fireplace/barbecue overlooking the beautifully landscaped yard and Bellingham Bay is wonderful. The views, every way you look are truly amazing. From the home and yard you cannot see another home or building. You are completely secluded but not isolated. There is WiFi, Direct TV, Telephone and good cell reception.
The Point Williams Lodge manager, Gudrun, was very helpful and accommodating. From the time of booking until our arrival Gudrun was very gracious about answering our questions and giving us a very thorough walk through of the home upon arrival.
Anyone who has an opportunity to visit Point Williams Lodge should do so. It will be an experience you will never forget. We all look forward to our next visit!"

"My husband and I stayed for 2 nights to celebrate wedding anniversary. We live less than an hour away so drive was hassle free and such a wonderful retreat from the craziness of city living. Cottage is on same property as main house but you'd never know it. We, too, LOVED sitting on the front porch looking out at the beautiful scenery and enjoying the birds at the birdfeeder. And that's about all we heard! So wonderfully quiet. Cottage is quite small but feels so much bigger due to the big windows overlooking the view and cathedral ceilings. All necessary items were available in the kitchen. It's also VERY clean and nicely decorated."
