  • Stunning Sunsets

"The location was exactly what we hoped it would be with a great boat launch close by. The house was very comfortable and cozy, the kitchen had everything that we could possibly need to prepare meals. We enjoyed some of the most stunning sunsets sitting on the deck and loved watching the fish jumping, dolphins, seals, and the family of river otter swim by. We visited near by Lummi Island and shopped some of the local artist and visited Fairhaven where we had lunch at Colophon Café. A wonderful place to get away and relax but close to anything that you could want."

  • Serene beauty

"The perfect cabin on the water. Nicely appointed in all ways, even a good chef's knife. Great for walks. Remote, but not too remote. Beautiful setting, birds, ducks, wow."

  • Thanksgiving on the Island

"Comfortable house; very pretty location; very quiet and relaxing. Functional kitchen and dining for the full 11 of us. Description and pictures were spot on, and the owner was friendly. Thanks for the use of the bicycles, row boat, and kayak."

  • Everything we hoped for

"We had a fabulous stay at Tranquil Cove. The directions and instructions provided in advance were extremely helpful, and the house was well outfitted for our needs. We did a good amount of food prep at the house and all the implements we needed were available. And what a view. We were greeted on arrival by a mother otter swimming in the bay, and spotted one of her babies later in the week. A heron spent every evening fishing in the bay. Several bald eagles, including a young one, were frequently perched in the trees. And to the delight of all we watched orcas from the deck on three out of the seven days. In the evenings we watched 300+ meter cargo vessels coming towards us from the Straits -- and turning north to Port Robert. We used the iPhone MarineTraffic app to identify them: ships from Denmark, South Korea, Japan, and the UK. It was difficult to motivate ourselves to explore the island when we had such a fantastic vantage point just sitting on the deck with a glass of wine."
