"The Seashell Cottage is a gem in Birch Bay. Close to the bay and all that it has to offer, as well as other local destinations. The Seashell Cottage was very comfortable! It had everything our family needed for our stay there. The highlight for us was the front deck. It extended the living area outside. It had a canopy over part of it which offered a nice shaded area for meals. The deck also had a very nice a fire pit which was the center of our evening family activities. The deck was handicap accessible and fenced nicely to contain the younger ones. Ally is the perfect hostess, making sure we had all we needed for an enjoyable time in Birch Bay!"

  • Week at the beach with family

"We just spent a week at the beach, it was wonderful, we had 4 adults and 2 children and a dog. We didn't feel crowded and we had an extra cot to accommodate 1 child. Laura's place is beautiful and her choice of art was wonderful, a couple of small problems but my husband fixed them. Thank you again for letting us use your home Janet"

  • A breath of fresh air!

"We have now stayed twice at this property and loved it both times! Once this past summer as a short romantic retreat and again with our family in February. The house is clean and very functionally. The downstairs area is like an apartment of its own with a few beds, a bathroom, sitting area with woodburning stove and even a kitchen! Great for a separate family, kids area, etc. The main floor has a few bedrooms, bathroom, living area and kitchen. It's the deck I loved. Located off the kitchen, we drank our coffee each morning and in the evening we'd have a glass of wine (or two), often cooking our dinner of oysters and clams on the BBQ. Yes, I said OYSTERS! The house sits just a 100 yards or so from the bay, and the bay is loaded with oysters! Dennis and his family provided us with buckets and rake and we ate oysters until we could eat no more. Kayaks, a row boat and bicycles were available for us, too! Both at the front of the property and the back (on the water) were firepits and sitting areas. Just a beautiful spot and a wonderful stay!!"

  • Beyond beautiful and amazing!

"We enjoyed every precious moment at this beautiful home with the breathtaking scenery. The home had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer! We enjoyed a campfire one evening. We also explored the beach at low tide and savored the fresh air during high tide. Myself, husband, 12 year old son & 11 year old daughter loved our stay here & we were so sad to leave. We cannot wait to return. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The views from inside the house and outside are gorgeous. The location to Friday Harbor was so convenient. We went exploring at American and English Camps and shopping in Friday Harbor. We went on two whale watching trips and experienced the amazing orcas and beautiful Pacific White Sided Dolphins!!! Thank you so so much to Kristy and Charles for sharing your amazing home and property !!! We look forward to a return trip!"
