Nice Fall Retreat
"We had a nice weekend away. The lake is quiet and relaxing in the fall. The views from the cabin are lovely. We appreciated the kitchen stocked with cooking pans etc. and the sense of privacy. The few minor points being the carpets, downstairs bathroom, and couch are starting to show their age which was in contrast to the lovely sleigh beds and master bedroom. We would return- likely when the Canadian dollar improves as it did seem costly with the exchange and generous housekeeping fees. Overall quite happy!"

"We rented this house for a family reunion/vacation for 9 of us ranging in age from 12 - 70. We all loved the house, with its beautiful view of the Bay, abundant wildlife sightings and the large great room where we could all hang out together. We found all of the rooms comfortable and the aesthetics, including the many wonderful quilts, very warm and welcoming. It was very clean and well maintained, with lots of helpful hints on things to do on the island. I would definitely recommend this place."

"What a great place to stay with kiddos, we almost felt guilty not leaving the house enough! It was so relaxing and beautifully kept. Jenny was also very helpful and informative. I would definitely recommend this property for families that want a unique experience on Friday Harbor!"

"Our families were supposed to go to the eastside, but the smoke was so bad, decided we'd stay on the west and visited this great getaway on Mt Baker. The house was very well equipped with plenty of condiments and cooking gear as well as about 10 pairs of Sasquatch slippers for the whole crew. The owner's were very easy to deal with it and extremely gracious when we lost power (the entire area was down) for about 10 hours during a windstorm (400,000+ lost power in the Seattle area where we escaped from). There was a great creek for the kids to explore about a half mile away and all it in all it was a great little getaway. Just one note, no internet and no cell access, though they have a landline and lots of DVD, a Wii, etc. Be a great location for winter exploration of Mt Baker."
