  • Oceanlover's Retreat

"After a day of wine-drinking and shopping at unique crafts shops in LaConner, this set of cabiins was a wonderful retreat from city life. An eagle dipped into the ocean and pulled out a fish, ospreys circled around, wild blackberries were everywhere, and ending the day on the deck, overlooking the ocean sunset, with a plate of wine and cheese was the perfect ending to a perfect day. Everything was well-maintained, comfortable, and definitely not "cabins" - more like mini-cottages, fully furnished with wonderful antiques and comfortable furniture. There are great roads and trails to take a walk or jog. At low tide, Hope Island rises out of the sea. What a paradise! I'd recommend this to anybody."

  • Darling cottage

"Sweet little cottage on the shores of Puget Sound, close to La Conner's amenities (7 minute drive?). Rocky beach with access from cottage (seniors and young children may need assistance), great for beach combing. Cottage was tastefully decorated and very clean. Living room has sofa and loveseat which are not pullouts. This wasn't an issue for us but may be for taller guests. We recommend dining at the Oyster and Thistle in La Conner - absolutely stellar service, food and wine. We would recommend this cottage for a romantic getaway, and hope to come back."

  • Cozy and Tranquil

"Our family spent five weeks in this waterfront cabin over the summer. We loved it! It's an ideal getaway. The beds are comfy and warm. The heat works great, but if you prefer blankets, there's a chest of extra quilts in the bedroom. The kitchen is spacious and stocked with every utensil, appliance and amenity one could need. Native American art and rustic cabin decor add to the cozy ambiance. The view...water, water, islands and more water. The beach is just steps down from the house. Our kids enjoyed collecting shells, skipping rocks and picking blackberries while we put up our feet, enjoyed some Washington wine and watched the tide come in. In the evening we turned on the gas fireplace, played board games and watched movies. It's just a quick drive down the road to some excellent dining and shopping in lovely La Conner. There's a book with answers to common questions about the house, but if you need anything, just call the owner. She's incredibly friendly and helpful."

  • Serene beauty

"The perfect cabin on the water. Nicely appointed in all ways, even a good chef's knife. Great for walks. Remote, but not too remote. Beautiful setting, birds, ducks, wow."
