  • Peaceful Get-away!

"We love traveling in October if not just to void the crowds. My husband, son and I stayed at the Hatch House and from it explored the trails at American and English Points, Lime Kiln State Park, went to the Lavender Farm and visited local artist studios and vineyard. We enjoyed cozy Roche Harbor (and I snuck away to the Afterglow Spa - fantastic!) We initially planned to explore other islands in the five days we were in the San Juans but found plenty to do on San Juan and we never even got to biking or kayaking. The great bookstores in Friday Harbor lead to cozy reads at the cabin as we baked pies from the apples on the property. I'd love to return."

  • Pond Cottage

"Excellent place to get away for a relaxing vacation.....great sleeping weather! We enjoyed the peaceful, private setting with the pond and waterfall. The donkeys, chickens, dogs and cats were an extra treat. Particularly, Masa the cat, who came running to be petted when she would hear the car pull up. Also, very convenient to hiking on the interurban trail and a number of other hikes on Chuckanut Rd. The owners supplied all sorts of local information for activities and dining. We enjoyed our time at the Pond Cottage very much and will return if we are back in the area."

  • 4 Families and 1 good time had!

"Thanks for providing a wonderful house for our use on a great island. First, the logistics...We had 8 adults and 7 kids under the age of 6. Not easy to manage but we had beds for all which was great. We were able to keep the babies isolated so they could nap and the kids had tons of room to play outside. The firepit was great for the adults in the evening to get a break. Next, the location: located walking distance to the town was great. The IGA and other restaurants provided all we needed and the location near the small airport provided a great place to visit for the kids. We were a 15 drive from anything on the island worth visiting such as Moran State Park (fresh water lake with a beach and play area), golf (the course isn't much but still fun round), Eastsound as mentioned above and the water itself. Finally the house and our host: Both were exactly what we needed. The house was cleaned professionally before our arrival and everything we needed (Wifi, rules of the house, etc) were clearly outlined. The BBQ was excellent as was the frisbee golf course and the tire swings. Some of the beds were 'soft' as per the reviews of my friends but it's an old house...what can you expect? Lots of room and a ton of fun. Thanks for a wonderful long weekend destination. Recommend for those who are looking to take 3-4 families away for a long weekend."

  • Awesome and Relaxing

"I have stayed at Liza's a few times now. It's a great spot to get away with family for the summer time. Lots to do, great walks straight out your door and incredible views. The beds are super comfortable. I've also just enjoyed going with a friend to get away for a slow and relaxing weekend. You will not believe all the stars that join you at night. Plus the sauna and hot tub are a great bonus for any guest."
