  • Lazy sunsets across the bay...

"We wanted a quiet, peaceful getaway and this ON-the-bay cottage delivered! As each day faded, we kicked our shoes off, opened up a bottle of wine and watched the gentle bay slowly change hues as the sun sank beyond the horizon. After a day exploring the island's many nearby natural attractions -- Spencer Spit, Iceberg Point, Watmough Bay -- we would return "home," sink into the comfortable furnishings and extend a toast to our good fortune in finding this one-of-a-kind property. A short walk away, we enjoyed the Love Dog Cafe, shopped at the Lopez Market and purchased delectable, drinkable souvenirs from the Lopez Island Vineyard. All in all, the Bay Inlet Beach Cottage is the perfect week-long escape for the weary traveler. We hope to make the trek from Iowa to this island gem again and again."

  • Great location, cute place, everything you need.

"Cute, well-appointed cottage with everything you need (except facial tissue). Great location just a few minutes walk to town, including the fantastic Brown Bear Baking Co. Having the road in front of the cottage was no big deal. Very good windows block out the limited amount of noise. So nice to be able to walk across the street to the beach to collect shells with our daughter. Plenty of room to hang clothes. They provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Hair dryer, iron also provided. Washer and dryer. So, feel free to pack light. Appliances are all great, and they have every utensil/pot/pan you may need need to prepare a nice meal. We had geese in the back pond several times. There is a pair of binoculars for use. So many nice little touches. Very difficult to leave. Wonderful way to end the summer. We hope to return to explore the island a bit more. We didn't use the Outback, but it looked very nice."

  • Cabin at Lake Whatcom

"We had a lovely time at the cabin. It was our first time and we loved that it was so close to shopping and restaurants. We only stayed for a few days but would enjoy a time in early summer when we could swim off the beautiful dock. Everything was in excellent condition when we arrived. Beds comfortable. Great to have bbq under covered area and a bonus to have the hot tub. Would be a great vacation spot for a girls shopping excursion or a family with children since there are three sleeping areas. Thank you to our hosts Jane and Art."

  • Everything we had expected and more

"Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. We were pleased to have access to the tennis and basketball courts right next door. The home was very clean, spacious and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and all linen and towels were in new condition. We would definitely stay here again."
