Amazing country beauty and close to wonderful activities
"We spent a quick Christmas holiday at this lovely waterfront chalet near Mt. Baker. There was plenty of room for us to bring our 2 adult sons and our teen-aged daughter. The cooking facilities were phenomenal and our son cooked some truly gourmet meals for our extended family to join us and enjoy as well. The 12 seat table was perfect for our Christmas company.
The chalet was close to amazing "rain forest like" hikes and we loved the short trek to Mt. Baker to ski. I was delighted that our area was not snow bound but within a 20 minute drive we were in a white snow covered winter wonderland and the skiing was outstanding! We also took a trek into Vancouver discovering their aquarium and Stanley Park, a short drive away (bring your passport).
I would highly recommend this chalet. There is wifi and a land line though no cell reception. Bring a few DVD's though as they have a lovely TV/DVD set up but nothing to watch in the evening. There are cards and games for inside fun and an outdoor fire pit and hot tub. It's amazing what we were able to enjoy in a quick 5 night stay!!"

"My friends and I stayed at this cabin last winter and it was such a lovely experience! Beautiful, huge cabin, stunning views, large deck, easy access to the hottub, and pet friendly. It was such a relaxing time. Thank you for offering this beautiful home for people like me!"

"This was a wonderful cabin with plenty of space to easily fit two families with a total of 6 children. It was comfortable, warm, and contemporary. There is a large deck outside and a nearby river beds containing amazing fossils of plants and vegetation from the Eocene period, and a short drive to Mt. Baker Ski Area as well as numerous trails and nearby adventures. Glacier is nearby with great food options and Maple Valley a few miles away has a large market. We loved it and would be happy to come back someday."

"I loved this place! It was very peaceful and nice to get away from being "plugged in" 24/7. I would actually rate this 4.5 stars. The only issue was the washing machine is a front loader & has moldy/musty smell due to door being closed after use & not allowing the seal to dry out. I was afraid it would make my clothes smell musty- but it did not. Also, the upstairs shower is a bit different with no enclosure. But, all in all, it was a lovely place. Great place to truly get away from it all & relax!"
