  • Amazing country beauty and close to wonderful activities

"We spent a quick Christmas holiday at this lovely waterfront chalet near Mt. Baker. There was plenty of room for us to bring our 2 adult sons and our teen-aged daughter. The cooking facilities were phenomenal and our son cooked some truly gourmet meals for our extended family to join us and enjoy as well. The 12 seat table was perfect for our Christmas company. The chalet was close to amazing "rain forest like" hikes and we loved the short trek to Mt. Baker to ski. I was delighted that our area was not snow bound but within a 20 minute drive we were in a white snow covered winter wonderland and the skiing was outstanding! We also took a trek into Vancouver discovering their aquarium and Stanley Park, a short drive away (bring your passport). I would highly recommend this chalet. There is wifi and a land line though no cell reception. Bring a few DVD's though as they have a lovely TV/DVD set up but nothing to watch in the evening. There are cards and games for inside fun and an outdoor fire pit and hot tub. It's amazing what we were able to enjoy in a quick 5 night stay!!"

  • Fantastic place to stay with a group

"I've been staying at the Contemporary Snowline Chalet for the past 4 years and love it! The hot tub is always ready for us when we arrive, the kitchen is fully equipped for our large group meals, and the Mt. Baker Ski Area is a fix 25 minute drive up the road. The house is spacious in both the living room and bedrooms. One gotcha - the stove is an induction stove. Most cookware doesn't work with it unless it's cast-iron or an inductive steel (stainless steel does not work). It's also a bit tough to figure out the stove, but the most trouble we had was it not working due to using non-inductive cookware. It's overall a beautiful house and I can't wait to visit again next year!"

  • Perfect little cabin to "unplug"

"We rented this little gem for a weekend when visiting our daughter. We love the Pacific Northwest and wanted to see the Mount Baker area. The cabin is rustic, but it was a perfect little gem. It has all the modern conveniences you need....and some you just really don't need in order to "unplug" from the daily grind. Being unplugged enabled our family to really connect and spend time together without the outside usual distractions. It's convenient to a host of special places to hike, eat and just relax. The cabin itself is lovely and relaxing. Definitely a place I will rent again!"
