"Our families were supposed to go to the eastside, but the smoke was so bad, decided we'd stay on the west and visited this great getaway on Mt Baker. The house was very well equipped with plenty of condiments and cooking gear as well as about 10 pairs of Sasquatch slippers for the whole crew. The owner's were very easy to deal with it and extremely gracious when we lost power (the entire area was down) for about 10 hours during a windstorm (400,000+ lost power in the Seattle area where we escaped from). There was a great creek for the kids to explore about a half mile away and all it in all it was a great little getaway. Just one note, no internet and no cell access, though they have a landline and lots of DVD, a Wii, etc. Be a great location for winter exploration of Mt Baker."

"For the price you aren't t going to find a cleaner, everything you need or want to do place to stay. The trails to hike were great and well maintained. To be so close to the river was fantastic and the smell of pine all the time was so refreshing. The rec center and pool was immaculate and very inviting. Owner was super easy to work with. The whole experience couldn't t be beat!!"

"My husband and I took our first weekend away without our kids. This house was perfect! I enjoyed the kitchen, as I like to cook. It was within walking distance of a restaurant/bar where we got dinner and cocktails. We spent time in the hot tub and the beautiful scenery around the house. The bed was very comfortable and the house had everything with needed. Directions and instructions to check in were easy to follow. We will be back for sure!"

"I've been staying at the Contemporary Snowline Chalet for the past 4 years and love it! The hot tub is always ready for us when we arrive, the kitchen is fully equipped for our large group meals, and the Mt. Baker Ski Area is a fix 25 minute drive up the road. The house is spacious in both the living room and bedrooms. One gotcha - the stove is an induction stove. Most cookware doesn't work with it unless it's cast-iron or an inductive steel (stainless steel does not work). It's also a bit tough to figure out the stove, but the most trouble we had was it not working due to using non-inductive cookware.
It's overall a beautiful house and I can't wait to visit again next year!"
