  • Beautiful get-away!

"We stayed at this beautiful get-away at the end of April. Ryan, the owner was very friendly and accommodating. The property was well maintained with plenty of rooms for all the sleeping arrangements. Each room had it's own heater which made controlling the temperature for each room very easy. We also traveled with kids and Ryan went out of her way to get a pack and play for the toddler. The location was also very ideal for peach and quiet. You have access to the golf course and can go for an after dinner stroll. Overall, very happy with the rental property!"

  • Feels Like Home

"My wife, young daughter, and I have stayed here twice over the last year. This house is extremely comfortable and makes you feel like you are stepping back in time (in a good way). The kitchen is big enough and well equipped to cook some serious meals. Almost every room in the house has a great view. We hiked in the nearby Turtle Mountain nature preserve twice this trip (amazing views). The trailhead is only about 1/4 mile walk from the house. If you like the feel of vintage architecture and furnishings in a peaceful waterfront setting you will like this place. Ben and Jessica, Seattle WA."

  • Stayed here twice, and will stay again!

"What a spectacular summer! We drove up and heard: "just leave everything in the car and come see the whales!" So we did, and all across the horizon were orcas, jumping, splashing, playing. You could hear the "thwack" from their tails across the water. Later, when it was quieter, you could hear the "whoosh" as they breathed out. And EVERY SINGLE DAY after that, they came back to visit. As did the eagles, flying fast, then swooping into the nearby trees. A juvenile bald eagle came real close, just watching us, as we watched him. So quiet here, you could hear the kayakers, out for the sunset paddle, down in the water just below the deck. They waved at us; we waved back. It's a big house, three levels, including a separate (and cool) basement deck that wraps around the house). Beautifully furnished, with some whimsical and some spectacular paintings. And you won't believe the kitchen. A super-fancy gas stove with burners so precise they turn on and off by themselves to keep an even heat. And absolutely everything you could want in kitchen equipment, even a pair of spare beaters for the hand mixer (in case one paid gets lost, I guess). Very quiet dishwasher. Hard to find the first time, but easy once you've been there once, so get directions. Adds to the quiet. Such a wonderful time. We've done it before, and we'll do it again."

  • Wonderful!

"What a wonderful vacation spent in your beautiful home on your beautiful island. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. You can't beat the location, view and all of the "extras" you included. We loved spending time on the deck watching the wildlife around us and the sea critters below. So peaceful, the evening ferries were the best part with their lights reflecting on the water. So beautiful, peaceful and serene. We spent a great deal of time just enjoying the space. We picked up oysters from Buck Bay (thank you for the recommendation and for the oyster shucking tools), and enjoyed them with a fresh shallot and ginger mignonette, and some cheeses, salamis and Prosecco from the market at the Ferry landing (very close and a lot of great stuff packed into that small space), and the chocolates from the little chocolate shop in the east sound-yum!! The kids enjoyed the game selection and roasting marshmallows on the lower patio. When we did venture from the property, we had fun kayaking and hiking around Mt Constitution! So beautiful! Thank you again, we hope you'll have us back!"
