"We stayed here to celebrate our Canadian Thanksgiving with 3 other families. Booking the property and the check in/out process were so easy and quick. There was tons of space for everyone and it never felt like we were on top of each other. Everything was clean and organized. The kids loved roasting marshmallows at the fire pit and seeing the cows out the kitchen windows everyday. Everything was really easy to get to and not too far of a drive, we went on a couple of nice hikes, enjoyed the crazy skateboard park and the quaint little main strip area. The new Co-op was amazing and so accommodating, they even ordered us a free range turkey ahead of time and defrosted it for us. They had a great selection of healthy organic food, and the IGA Market was also fantastic. All of the people in our group agreed that we would definitely come back. Thanks for the great experience! PS - We even saw a pod of Orcas from the ferry on the way home!!!"

  • Great family rental for a wedding!

"We arrived to a wonderfully clean and inviting home. We had 6 adults and a dog in the home, and it never felt cramped. There was still room for more people on top of that. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was no fear of running out of coffee! The back deck has an excellent view of the sound, and had the weather been better, it would have gotten a lot of use. The home is positioned close to town, but it's at the top of a steep hill that could be difficult for some to walk up/down. That's the price for great views!! I would definitely recommend this vacation rental to others."

  • Good for Large Groups

"Maggie's Manor is well equipped for large groups (we had 10 people). Kitchen is well stocked. There were plenty of towels. Lots of seating, deck is great, and fire pit out back was nice. It is a very peaceful place with a great view of Deer Harbor. That being said, there were a few things that were a little funky. The kitchen and upstairs bathroom had carpeting! Not a good idea. You can't sweep it and who knows what is in it. Kinda gross. There are two sinks in the kitchen island which seems like a good idea but there are no sprayer nozzles so you can't clean out the sink without pouring pitchers of water in them. Plus the faucets swing out over the counter so if you accidently turn on the water with them like that you've just run water all over the counter and floor. The water pressure was too low for the main kitchen sink nozzle to spray so again no way to clean out the sink without a lot of effort. Garbage disposal doesn't really work; caused a blockage and the sink wouldn't drain, had to do some ad hoc plumbing work. Doors don't close very well. Main floor bathroom could use some updating. So, some things that could be fixed to make it totally top notch. But, nothing was a show stopper and it was a great weekend."
