"It's a large spacious house that was just right for 4 couples. We all had our own space which was great! We were surprised and disappointed that the beds weren't made when we arrived. We didn't expect to have to make our own beds considering the cost of the house. Everything else was very comfortable with lots of extras! We enjoyed spending a lot of time on the deck looking at the scenery and watching for whales. The only disappointment was that the bushes in front of the deck needed trimmed back so they interfered somewhat with our view. We enjoyed the hot tub and also walking down to the beach. We had a great time!"

"What a beautiful place to celebrate my 57th birthday. We sold our house on Orcas about 17 years ago, so I knew that this house was in a perfect location: close to Eastsound (the town), close to the ferry, close to the golf course, and close to West Sound. The house is as pictured, but lives even better; quality construction and smart design. The layout of the house is wonderful for two couples. They had their end of the house, with a bath and bedroom. We had our end of the house (closes off with a big sliding door) with large bedroom, separate master closet, laundry, and bathroom. The master bath has two sinks and a separate toilet/shower area.
The kitchen and main living area are connected. The view out the bank of sliding doors that run the length of the living room is spectacular. You can see Eastsound across the bay. The house stayed cool as it faces northeast and it wasn't a terribly hot week; and we opened many windows and the sliding doors to let the fresh air in.
The patio is private and quiet. You can hear the water below. The kitchen is set up for cooks; but we ate dinner out while we were on island. West Sound Cafe provided a beautiful setting and wonderful food. The same for Inn at Ship Bay. Rose's was perfect for lunch. A run to Island Market after unpacking allowed us to stock up on things we couldn't bring in the car.
There is WiFi (slow compared to off island, but worked well) and there was a TV in the living room and 2nd bedroom. The set of Mexican Train dominos in the game drawer led to a fun game night.
Our friends have already recommended Casa Verde to their friends. I just hope that they don't rent the house in mid-July, as we would like to return again. Thank you to the owner for sharing this wonderful house."

"My family of 4 found Seacliff Cottage to be a stunningly beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy each other's company, watch the changing colors of the ocean surrounding the house, cook a happy meal, and curl up with books at any time of the day. We found plenty to explore on Orcas Island during the day, and we loved returning to the house in the evening to enjoy the hot tub in complete privacy. The house is a treasure of Craftsman design and devotion to sustainable living. Doug is a thoughtful and generous host. Some day we hope to return!"

"Pictures do not do this place justice - it is the most well cared for property on the island! You can tell Maryann and Bill take great pride in their home and garden! Apartment was private, comfortable and very clean and had everything we needed. Just minutes away from the Friday Harbor crowd. I wish we had stayed longer and had the opportunity to get to know the owners better - very nice people! Can't wait to come back - highly recommend!
Only thing we missed: no Wifi and phone coverage was bad. Nice if you want to detach but my husband needed to check into work from time to time - had to find wifi in town for that."
