  • Epic vacation

"My friends and I spent a fantastic week at this house over the fourth of July weekend. It was truly magical! There was plenty of adventure and relaxing things to do on the island during the day. At night, we were all just captivated by the fantastic views from the upper deck. We spent so many evenings out there around the fire and it never got old! On the last night, I don't think anyone slept inside, instead just falling asleep under the stars! The inside is fantastic too... spacious, well kept and perfect for a large group (we had eight adults at the peak). The decks and view, though, are what makes this property a perfect ten!"

  • Great getaway

"My wife, son, and I had a wonderful time at this house. The grounds are beautiful with a private beach. It is also very close to EastSound. I would definitely come again!"

  • Lovely family vacation

"We enjoyed a beautiful 5 night stay at this lovely property. Our only complaint is that we didn't book it for longer! We had 6 in our party - 3 children (ages 7-12) and 3 adults. The house is a well-kept old farmhouse with so much charm and ample room for us all. The location is amazing. Seriously, less than a 5 minute walk into town (Brown Bear Baking pastries and lattes for breakfast!) but back at the house, we felt completely secluded. (Faint traffic noise from nearby road but the trees and natural shape of the bay keep it minimal.) Even more amazing is the big lawn and beach front. The kids spent hours roaming the shores for shells. We dug up clams at low tide and made clam chowder. (You can walk all the way around the bay then!) Even if you hardly pull any clams out of the sand, just looking for the holes and "spirts" is an adventure in itself. This is a perfect property for kids of all ages - even toddlers. Loads of space to wander around safely while adults can sit and keep watch. Every evening we had a special guest for our dinner out on the porch: a bald eagle (who we named "Sam") sat high in a nearby tree. Easy drive (20min?) to Moran State Park with hiking and swimming in the lakes. We had sunny, warm weather while we were there, but even if it had been cloudy and colder, the house and location are perfect for sitting and reading (partially covered porch,) playing games, walking on the beach etc. ( Oh! And the hot tub! - cannot forget the hot tub.) The one thing to know in advance is that since this is a turn of the century farmhouse, the bedrooms (all upstairs) do not open up into a central hallway. This is a classic design for its time and I'm glad the owners didn't remodel it but it is quite different from modern home design. This means that the bedrooms open up into each other in a circle. So the bunk bed room opens onto the hallway and into the queen bedroom. Then the queen bed room opens up into the upstairs 1/2 bath which then opens up into the king bedroom which opens up again into the hallway. If you are turned around by that description, it just means that to get to the queen bed room or bathroom you have to go through another bedroom (king or bunk bed.) Not a problem for us at all as we just shuffled around who slept where for the best privacy. My husband is from the Seattle area and spent his summers on Orcas growing up. He loved it and we will definitely return next summer for a full week!"

  • Book this Cabin!!!! TRUST ME!!!

"You know you are staying in an utterly breathtaking gorgeous location when you are in mid sentence (several times), lose your train of thought and forget what you were talking about ......all to do with the beauty all around you. This place will knock your panties off with the views and location along with an awesome fire pit, hot tub and patio. WE loved waking up to the birds singing while the sun was rising over Mt. Baker and the Olympic Mountains. We tend to not stay at our accomodations for very long as we are out exploring......however, at this little cabin at the edge of heaven, we never wanted to leave. In the morning, we would wake up, sip coffee on the patio, then slide into the hot tub to watch the sun come up. I think we took over 50 pictures just at the cabin. The loft was super cute. Made me feel like a kid again based on how excited it made me. The view from the loft was stunning...the bed was super comfy. The cabin has everything you need... just bring some food and coffee. I wish I could upload photos because the photos posted here do no do the place justice. I think the owner Victoria wants to leave a surprise for all her guests. Do yourself an favor and book this cabin. You'll felt like you died and went to heaven! Happy Travels!!!"
