"My girlfriend and I stayed at Gary's condo from Apr 17-20 and were pleasantly surprised. After speaking with Gary on the phone I knew this is where we wanted to stay. His informal approach to renting his accommodation was very warm and welcoming. We were renting early in the season and requested he did what he could to have the kayaks available for us to use during our stay. He bent over backwards to make this happen and my god were we happy he did. We packed lunch and refreshments into the kayaks and paddled out. We found a lovely private beach were we relaxed all afternoon in the sun, it was perfect.
Some things you may want to know when looking into this property:
The bed is super comfortable. We often use vrbo for weekend getaways and that's one thing we have often found, terrible mattresses. Definitely not the case here.
Gary himself may be this property's best asset. He's looking for people to enjoy their time and come back another time (we will certainly be doing this, just trying to iron out the dates).
Shower is great. It has the large 'rain' style piece, wall jets, and the removable wand.
Although the kitchen is a little dated, and even though the oven looks like it's from the 50's it actually works very well... I guess they don't make things like they used to!
Internet worked perfectly, as did the cable. Everything is as advertised.
GOLF...if you enjoy the game, or love to hate the game, than this is the place for you. 100 paces to the clubhouse of this very interesting course. The front 9 is nice and open and offers great views of the lakes and mountains, and the tighter back 9 has lots of blind tee shots which make it quite interesting.
It was an extremely enjoyable, and relaxing stay. It was really nice to only be an hour from home (Vancouver, BC) but feel like we had driven for hours to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We recommend this stay for anyone who enjoys golfing, kayaking, swimming, boating, nature watching etc etc. We certainly will be back this year.
Thanks again Gary for making our stay comfortable and easy. We look forward to our next trip down!"

"I wanted to hike in the Mt Baker area. For close access, you can not beat this condo. Everything was provided for a pleasant stay. While there was no cell service, I found the internet access in the clubhouse was more than adequate to check emails and the internet though a bit slow. The setting on the Nooksack River was beautiful. Along with the Mt Baker hikes, there was a wonderful trail (Horseshoe Bend) less than a mile down the road. This condo was a great headquarters for my weekend of hiking."

"Our family had a great time at Mount Baker -- There was 9 of us and it fit us pretty well. If there was another double bed in the one bedroom rather than a twin it would have been perfect -- but it still was great -- The family went up to Mt Baker two days and made our own sledding hill. IT WAS GREAT! We watched movies -- played games and used the hot tub both nights. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. The owners are great to work with and it is only a 3 hour drive from Seattle"
