  • Great Time

"We had our staff retreat weekend at this beautiful home! The house is comfortable and nicely decorated. There was plenty of room for 8 adults. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dishes. The dishwasher was a bonus! Despite the rain, we enjoyed walking on the beach and watching the fog roll in on the deck. A beautiful place to rent!"

  • Amazing experience staying here

"My husband and I recently stayed at The Waterhouse for a week and we had the best vacation. Moments after our arrival we saw orcas from the house and we saw them every day of our stay. We also saw a young humpback whale very close to shore right in front of the house. There is so much wildlife around: blacktail deer including a spotted fawn, a raccoon that peered in the window, bald eagles on the rocky point seen from the living room, barn swallows tending their babies in mud nests on the house, white-crowned sparrows singing sweetly from the blackberry bushes and pelagic birds like rhino auklets diving for mouthfuls of herring, it looked like. The house itself is very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. I'm very picky about those things and it surpassed my expectations. Suzanne is so nice and made us feel at home. We explored the island a bit but spend most of our time here, having breakfast and lunch on the deck, sketching and reading or just watching from the window-seats indoors. Often after dark, we'd hear the orcas swimming by the house, their huffing-snorting sounds coming in the open bedroom windows. Falling asleep to the sounds of waves and orcas - it doesn't get any better!"

  • Cozy Chalet

"3 couples had a great time here over New Year's. The house was very clean, comfortable, roomy but still cozy. We took advantage of the well-stocked kitchen and cooked every meal. We loved that the house was heated by fireplaces. The location is great - the last community before the road up to Baker and very close to Chair 9. The managing company was very responsive. Our only suggestion was that a coffee table would be nice, and more coffee mugs. We hope to come back!"

  • All-around great vacation!

"Sunrise Sunset House is beautiful and was the perfect location for our family group vacation! The setting is pretty and private, with a fabulous view of Spieden Channel and plenty of wildlife viewing. The home was clean and inviting, with all the amenities that a group could want and plenty of space to spread out. We enjoyed biking, hiking, kayaking and whale watching during our time on the island. The seafood and fresh produce available on the island was outstanding, too! The property manager was friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time at the house. We would highly recommend this vacation and hope that we can return again!"
