"The house was very clean and comfortable. Not secluded, since it sits between the main road and another home, but a great location just 25 minutes up to Mt. Baker. The house has nice amenities, such as lots of hooks in the entry way to hang up ski clothes, extra blankets and nicely equipped kitchen. My kids loved the little TV area up in the loft!"Guest: Karisa Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: February 7, 2014View listing
"We arrived to a wonderfully clean and inviting home. We had 6 adults and a dog in the home, and it never felt cramped. There was still room for more people on top of that. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was no fear of running out of coffee! The back deck has an excellent view of the sound, and had the weather been better, it would have gotten a lot of use. The home is positioned close to town, but it's at the top of a steep hill that could be difficult for some to walk up/down. That's the price for great views!! I would definitely recommend this vacation rental to others."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 13, 2014View listing
"We found the house comfortable with plenty of room for both children and adults to have their own space. Location close to the village was great. The house is well maintained and ver clean. The kitchen was supplied with everything necessary for cooking family meals."Guest: Sun and Bird Lovers from Seattle Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 15, 2014View listing
"We had a fabulous stay at Tranquil Cove. The directions and instructions provided in advance were extremely helpful, and the house was well outfitted for our needs. We did a good amount of food prep at the house and all the implements we needed were available. And what a view. We were greeted on arrival by a mother otter swimming in the bay, and spotted one of her babies later in the week. A heron spent every evening fishing in the bay. Several bald eagles, including a young one, were frequently perched in the trees. And to the delight of all we watched orcas from the deck on three out of the seven days. In the evenings we watched 300+ meter cargo vessels coming towards us from the Straits -- and turning north to Port Robert. We used the iPhone MarineTraffic app to identify them: ships from Denmark, South Korea, Japan, and the UK. It was difficult to motivate ourselves to explore the island when we had such a fantastic vantage point just sitting on the deck with a glass of wine."Guest: Ben H.
