"The house is much bigger in person then it looks in pictures. The master upstairs has an awesome attached bathroom with a nice big oversized tub. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, easy to find. When we stayed there, the stovetop worked, but the oven did not, which was kinda a bummer. The owners had let me know a couple days before we got there that we wouldn’t be able to use it. But it didn’t turn out to be too big of an issue. I am VERY happy to say we only ate out ONE time during our 5 day vacation in Bellingham – the rest of our meals were homemade. We used the stove top and microwave quite a bit. =) The basement stayed nice and cool – upstairs got a little stuffy. We tried to use the air conditioning, but it didn’t feel like it was working. Luckily we came at a beautiful time of year where mostly all we needed to do was keep windows open to catch a breeze. Everything was spotless in the house and we enjoyed having the extra space very much. Whatcom Falls Park is about 5 minutes away – it is a beautiful, FREE, easy hike. We have family in Bellingham who showed us where you could jump off cliffs into the water there. =) I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Bellingham. Especially because ONE hotel room isn’t much cheaper! Spend a little extra and get some more space to feel like home."Guest: Lopez Fam Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 2, 2014View listing
"Being "Island" dwellers we are use to ferries but the really laid-back life style of Lopez was new to us. Such a great location to see Lopez yet very convenient to the ferry. This would be a great place for a family gathering with loads of space, yet it worked perfectly for the four of us. Would we come again? In a New York minute!!"Guest: Islander Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 30, 2014View listing
"This is a lovely apartment in the heart of Eastsound. Every shop and restaurant is within walking distance. The sliding glass doors facing the bay provide an amazingly beautiful view at all hours of the day. The changing shape and color of the clouds at sunrise, mid-day and sunset reflect the same in the water. Don't forget your camera! A little round table and two chairs on the balcony puts yourself into the beautiful scenery. Besides the natural beauty and convenience of the location, the owners of this property have stocked this studio apartment with every possible thing a traveler could want or need! The furniture, decorator pillows, wall decor, lighting and quilt on the bed are instantly inviting. The quality of the sheets and towels are the best. The kitchenette is stocked with every item you could want for cooking, baking, mixing, storing--even down to providing glass vials of a dozen common spices! Even kitchen scissors! I was impressed that the bathroom supplies included "make-up remover wipes." The apartment was extremely clean. Bins for garbage and for recycling are well-marked. Wi-Fi is easy to sign-on to. Cable television provided lots of choices. We would come back here without a doubt!"Guest: JL Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 8, 2014View listing
"My parents and I rented this little cottage for 3 nights in September. We had amazing weather and the house and grounds were perfect for us. My mother loved the kitchen, and my Dad and I the view of the water, private beach and view of Mt. Baker. I spent all of the mornings watching the sunrise over Mt. Baker just to go back and watch the alpenglow on Mt. Baker as the sunset behind us. Neighbors were quiet. House had everything we needed. I believe the owner is a descendant of the original homesteader and we chatted with some family a bit when they drove down the lane. Very welcoming and friendly. The rental company was easy to work with and gave very detailed directions on how to get to this little part of the island. The only thing I would change for next time is maybe to pay for the housecleaning as the list of things to do made us a bit nervous. That said, I promptly received my full deposit back. Would definitely return."Guest: Jonquil Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 20, 2014View listing
