  • Epic vacation

"My friends and I spent a fantastic week at this house over the fourth of July weekend. It was truly magical! There was plenty of adventure and relaxing things to do on the island during the day. At night, we were all just captivated by the fantastic views from the upper deck. We spent so many evenings out there around the fire and it never got old! On the last night, I don't think anyone slept inside, instead just falling asleep under the stars! The inside is fantastic too... spacious, well kept and perfect for a large group (we had eight adults at the peak). The decks and view, though, are what makes this property a perfect ten!"

  • Change of mind

"I previously left a not so favorable review but have talked to the owner and want to say that he was more than willing to apologize and make things right. The hot tub is now repaired, and the home is perfect for a family wanting to get away and experience the beautiful surrounding of the Northwest."

  • Friend's Getaway

"A few days away with a friend, who found this perfect accommodation. Beautiful heritage home, immaculately clean, quiet area right across from the ocean, lovely space. Loved that the owner was onhand but very discreet, greeted us when we arrived and gave us all the information we could want. Absolutely perfect."

  • Everything we hoped for

"We had a fabulous stay at Tranquil Cove. The directions and instructions provided in advance were extremely helpful, and the house was well outfitted for our needs. We did a good amount of food prep at the house and all the implements we needed were available. And what a view. We were greeted on arrival by a mother otter swimming in the bay, and spotted one of her babies later in the week. A heron spent every evening fishing in the bay. Several bald eagles, including a young one, were frequently perched in the trees. And to the delight of all we watched orcas from the deck on three out of the seven days. In the evenings we watched 300+ meter cargo vessels coming towards us from the Straits -- and turning north to Port Robert. We used the iPhone MarineTraffic app to identify them: ships from Denmark, South Korea, Japan, and the UK. It was difficult to motivate ourselves to explore the island when we had such a fantastic vantage point just sitting on the deck with a glass of wine."
