"Older cabin on owner's property, but set up extremely well! Very Cute! Also there are privacy trees between the owner's home and the cabin. Very secluded, quiet and makes a great get away! We're going to go back! Awesome location up on a hill overlooking Birch Bay."Guest: Cindy H. Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: November 27, 2013View listing
"my fifth visit to the Skagit Valley and this was the best accommodations yet.withmultiple decks, we saw beautiful views of the mountains and farmers working in the fields in the distance while listening to peace and quietness. Thank you, will be back some year."Guest: Lawrence T. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 28, 2014View listing
"We stayed for three nights in July 2014. This house is clean, comfortable and functional, with a full kitchen and washer/dryer. It is perfect to use as a "home base" for exploring the island. Friday Harbor is a very short drive away. My boys loved the daily deer encounters, especially getting to see two, very new fawns one morning. Booking the property was very easy and the owner and property manager were responsive to any questions and one small issue (the direct TV wasn't working when we first arrived - this problem was corrected very quickly). The house has plenty of room for a family of four."Guest: Mary Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 1, 2014View listing
"We were completely blown away with the beauty of Emerald Lake and the Chalet. From the use of canoes & kayaks, to toys for our two year old, the owners of the Chalet put a lot of thought and love into the rental. We almost rented something on Whatcom Lake - and think we made a great choice - this was much more serene and low-key. We had never been to the Bellingham area and found it to be a beautiful town with great parks and a wonderful home base for day trip destinations in Seattle and Vancouver."Guest: Mark Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 18, 2014View listing
