  • Excellent review

"My stay at RVL was wonderful. Since Peter's Inn restaurant is closed, I cooked in the kitchen. Knives for cutting meat/veggies could be replaced. They're quite dull. The middle of the couch, facing the view appreares to have the springs shot, it sits very low, and sinks down. It's difficult for visitors that may have back issues to get stand up. Other than those 2 things it was great. Thank You ♥"

  • Great Retreat!

"Mayfield Lake is wonderful and the Harmony Retreat offered an enjoyable spot to have fun. Brought jet ski to enjoy the lake and the community dock provided a great spot to spend the day. The home had all the amenities and the loft sleep area provided just the space to add something different for the teenager in the group. The deck was awesome to just relax and look out to the lake and the clear night sky."

  • Awesome home

"What an awesome home. Maybe too nice, since we were there with 6 children, our goal was to leave early each morning to go to Rainier and St Helens, but with the spacious main room, hot tub, great trail to the river and all new bathrooms/showers, we had a tough time getting everyone to leave the house to go hiking! If and when we return, I'm looking NO further than this location. Make sure to check out the trail to the river. It's right across the road and only .25 mile walk to a beautiful river and view! Honestly, if this was MY HOUSE, I would not change a thing! Thanks Again for letting us stay. Mark C South Park Pa"

  • Summer Fun with three generations!

"I stayed here with my husband, my sister's family and my parents for 2 nights, 3 days. The first thing everyone said upon walking in was "WoW!" The house is airy and full of skylights. Everything was clean and easy to use (well-marked). There was an awesome fire pit outside with firewood provided. We had a campfire every night. We roasted s'mores and looked for shooting stars. You can see so many more stars in Greenwater than in the city. The bath/spaceship downstairs was amazing! My sister said it was the best bath ever and she made us all take one. She was right! Music, lights, steam, jets, bubbles! I was worried we would run out of hot water, but we never did! There was plenty of room for 3 separate couples to have privacy and space to themselves. My husband and I took the loft and it was cozy, but fun. There is river access in the next cul-de-sac a few steps away. It was fun to wade through the water and dig your toes in the gooey sand/silt. There wasn't much beach, but the river itself is entertaining. Best of all, the owners were very quick to respond and quite accommodating. We requested early check in and got a response right away. They even emailed to let us know we can check out late if we like. I had a hard time finding the river access and they emailed within minutes of my inquiry. The price was great for such an amazing house. This was a great house for a family with kids (or without kids :o). I think we will be back for years to come! FYI: The general store is open until 6pm, so plan accordingly. Bring long campfire sticks for roasting marshmallows. They supplied short sticks, but it got a bit toasty on the hands :o) The pantry had a lot of supplies, but I think it just depends on who left what before you. Bring your own supplies, just in case."

Rainier & St. Helens Travel Tips

Relax and Unwind with Southwest Washington Vacation Rentals

The scenic area of southwest Washington offers breathtaking scenery, sandy beaches, small port towns and all the activities of the Northern Cascade Mountains close by. The area is known for its fertile estuaries and centuries-old landmarks. Charted by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark in 1805, southwest Washington was considered the most desirable area to settle west of the Rocky Mountains. It now offers a delightful escape from city life for vacationers looking to relax and enjoy the spectacular local scenery.

Washington Vacation Rentals Offer a Variety of Things to Do

The Columbia River offers a host of activities before it reaches the Pacific Ocean, including fishing, swimming and hiking. The Hoh Rain Forest has scenic drives and walks amidst the moss-covered trees and hikers will enjoy the trails around Ledbetter Point State Park. Visitors can rent a boat on Lake Quinault and spend the day fishing, picnicking and relaxing on the water. Wildlife viewing is also plentiful in this unspoiled area.

The whole coastline of southwest Washington has miles of sandy beaches to be enjoyed. Ocean Shores beach has many organized activities for families such as sandcastle competitions, summer festivals, beach buggy rentals, horseback riding, swimming, and the usual surfing and watersports activities. Walking and beachcombing are popular activities at spectacular Ruby Beach with its piles of driftwood. Whale watching is an exciting activity in this area, and many companies at Westport and Ocean Shores offer boat trips to see the Pacific grey whales which migrate along the coast from March to May. More family fun can be enjoyed at the indoor Hoquaim YMCA Waterpark which offers a lap pool and racquetball and basketball courts.

The Climate and Weather at Southwest Washington Ocean Condos

Fans of musician Kurt Cobain can take a walking tour of his homes and haunts as Aberdeen was his hometown before he joined the rock band, Nirvana. Near Grayland beach, just south of Westport, is worth visiting for its spectacular oceanfront scenery and beachcombing opportunities.

Willapa Bay is a serene area to visit along the 26-mile Longbeach Peninsula with its superb opportunities for wildlife spotting. Gift stores and restaurants are worth stopping for at Ocean Park.
