"We rented this place as a girls week end get away and Hiking trip. Wow what a great place to stay. To top it off we had a hot tub out on the deck. Very happy with rental. Have known owner for many years, his wood work and hand made furniture in the house are beautiful. Thank you Paul for a great stay"

  • Clean and cozy getaway !!

"I rented this cabin as a surprise for my boyfriend for his birthday. It was so much more then I expected !! The interior pictures don't even begin to show its beauty. Kathy you did an awesome job with the decor. The kitchen is well organized, and stocked with the small appliances needed for what ever you plan on cooking, lots of utensils, lots of pots and pans, dishes, coffee cups, glasses, bowls toaster, microwave,crock-pot, blender and more. There is also lots of spices in the pantry ,Kathy is a great person to do business with !! she warned us of possible discoloration to the water in the hot tub due to its location etc. we found the water crystal clear and the tub itself clean and comfortable, and we really appreciated her up front honest approach. a pleasure to do business with! And YES we will return !!!!"

  • Secluded yet easy to access

"Had a great time at this cabin. Especially appreciated the grassy yard/clearing where the kids could run around a bit. Also like being able to walk down to the General Store for any last-minute groceries, etc. We will be back!"

  • Perfect

"This was our second stay at the cabin. We stayed here with our kids after we were married at Hoffstadt Bluffs in 2013. Everything was perfect then so when we decided to return for vacation, there was only one place to choose...here. Alan and Corina are so easy to work with. They are prompt in returning inquiries and are very friendly. My damage deposit was rapidly refunded at the conclusion of our stay. We arrived at the cabin at about 1130 pm after a cross country flight. Just like promised, they left the lights on for us. The neighborhood is somewhat dark at night but the cabin was easy to find because there is a large sign at the driveway. The cabin was very clean and stocked as promised. Temperature was set to a comfortable level. This a a quiet cabin. This is as good as it gets anywhere within an hour drive. Not a lot of traffic up and down the road. Town is a quick 10 minute drive away for just about any small item you may need. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking normal meals and has a large refrigerator and washer/dryer. Unfortunately, we both had to work while there using the internet. The internet worked great. The cable TV was great. My cell provider (verizon) didnt work at the cabin but did in town. My wife's provider (AT&T) worked fine. The view from the cabin is wonderful. Nice view of the lake and comfortable furniture for sitting on the deck. The stairs getting to the upstairs are steep. No big deal for most people but if you are planning on putting a much older person upstairs, I'd recommend rethinking it. There is a nice bedroom on the master level if you are traveling with older people. Someone mentioned not having a child gate for the top of the stairs in an earlier post. I noticed the the child gate had been purchased and was available while there. We unexpectedly needed to extend our stay 1 day prior to leaving. I contacted Alan, who returned my email and followed up with a phone call almost as soon as I sent it...and this was a holiday weekend! We worked out the details in no time flat (Thank you so much Alan). Mt. St. Helens Johnson observatory is about 45 min drive butt there is a lot of other stops before the 45 min drive. Portland airport is about 50 min drive. I feel like I shouldn't advertise this cabin so it will be available when I need it, but that wouldn't be fair (lol). Stay here, you won't be disappointed."
