Genuine vacation home
"This is a very comfortable vacation home with great amenities. Our relatives from England remarked that the rental is truly an American home in the mountain with an American decor and feel. We had a wonderful time hiking Mt Rainier National Park. Definitely a place to come back to."

"Not a single detail was spared when it came to this vacation home and all the amenities its offers. We brought both our adult children (19 & 22) as well as our little ones (6 & 9) and everyone raved about the experience. We played board games (provided by the house), hiked in the woods and spent some quality family time in the hot tubs. This gorgeous house provided the perfect environment for much needed family and down time. I can't recommend this amazing get away spot enough. The pictures don't do this perfect vacation location justice. It's a MUST stay."

"We had a relaxing weekend at the Packwood cabin and were thrilled with it's proximity to the Paradise entrance. The drive is about 10 minutes to the park entrance! The Cowlitz river proved to be a big highlight and was a short 5 minute walk from the cabin. We also enjoyed the hot tub after a full day hiking at Paradise.
Overall, the cabin is quite rustic, but is all you need if you're looking for an escape to nature that doesn't include a tent or camper."

"To say this beautiful home is a cabin is an understatement. It's a well appointed, beautifully designed home in the woods. My husband and I spent 4 nights with 2 other couples in the Olmsted's cabin, with plenty of room to "breath", yet still be able to enjoy the common area as a group for games or watching movies.
Amenities: Everything was as described, plus Marilyn has thought of everything you could want for cooking meals at in the great kitchen in the cabin.
Maintenance/cleanliness: The cabin is very well taken care of and very clean
Marilyn was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns that I had. Her typical response time via email was less than 2 hours.
A couple of tips:
* All 6 of us didn't have a single bar of cell service the entire time we were in Packwood (At&T and T-Mobile) - print your stay details out in advance so you don't have to rely on cell data!
* Throw blankets are in the ottoman in the living room
* The internet is a bit slow, especially if multiple devices are using it at once
* There are 2 great trails directly behind the cabin
In short, everyone loved the vacation and we'll definitely book the cabin in the future if we find ourselves considering the area."
