Beautiful, well appointed "cabin"!
"To say this beautiful home is a cabin is an understatement. It's a well appointed, beautifully designed home in the woods. My husband and I spent 4 nights with 2 other couples in the Olmsted's cabin, with plenty of room to "breath", yet still be able to enjoy the common area as a group for games or watching movies.
Amenities: Everything was as described, plus Marilyn has thought of everything you could want for cooking meals at in the great kitchen in the cabin.
Maintenance/cleanliness: The cabin is very well taken care of and very clean
Marilyn was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns that I had. Her typical response time via email was less than 2 hours.
A couple of tips:
* All 6 of us didn't have a single bar of cell service the entire time we were in Packwood (At&T and T-Mobile) - print your stay details out in advance so you don't have to rely on cell data!
* Throw blankets are in the ottoman in the living room
* The internet is a bit slow, especially if multiple devices are using it at once
* There are 2 great trails directly behind the cabin
In short, everyone loved the vacation and we'll definitely book the cabin in the future if we find ourselves considering the area."

this was an amazing house for family of 6 grownups
"This was a great cabin and location for our family of 6 grownups. We enjoyed the hob tub and especially the pool table. The kitchen was outfitted with everything a family would need. We cooked here for four days. Totally delightful.

"My wife and I drove around NW Washington for a week, and enjoyed 2 nights at the Chalet as a very nice stop close to Mt Rainier. Scenic location near the Park. 14 Elk walked down the street,.. and kept going :) Owners very helpful. Nice hot tub. Wished we could have stayed a couple more day."

"For the price the chalet worked great for us. Ample room for two. Full kitchen with plenty of plates. Bed was duper compfy. We didn't do a fire inside or out but would have been an option in clear cold weather. No problems with the stairs but they are steep if you have physical limitations. Not very many TV channels and spotty phone reception due to mountain location. Nice community."
