"This cabin is easy to find, close to mountains, and a couple of miles to great coffee and blueberry muffins! We saw the herd of elk, listened to the creek and river rushing by, enjoyed the sound of the wind through the tall trees , stood out in the dark to see the satellite fly over and soaked our sore bocies in the hot tub after hiking in those mountains."

  • Good Value

"We stayed here with some friends and really enjoyed our time. The cabin does have close neighbors but is very close to town and quick access to area recreation. The kitchen was fully stocked for any cooking you might do and even has a dishwasher. The only negative I can mention is the double bed upstairs is not comfortable, to the point where we chose to sleep on the floor with some blankets the 2nd night. Owner was very quick to respond to any questions and make the process very easy."

  • Outstanding Family Vacation Site

"Our Packwood, WA, vacation experience on the Cowlitz River was outstanding. This was our best VRBO stay ever. The reason was a combination of the location on the river, the physical condition of the house we stayed in and the excellent hospitality of the owner. The owner lives near by and was always checking to make sure we had what we needed to make sure our stay was an enjoyable one. We had access to Mt. Rainier National Park and Mount St. Helens National Monument. We could even hike up the Cowlitz River to the National Forest. The house was equipped with everything we needed and when we asked if a "slow cooker" was available the owner dropped one off for us to use. The combination of service, location and the physical condition of the property was A plus."

  • Quiet Getaway

"This was a wonderful place to just relax and take in the Mountain. It was close enough to go see the mountain, and yet quiet enough to just sit and read on the deck. There was a wind storm the first day I was there and lost Electricity but they had it back on within an hour. Being by myself felt safe and cozy in the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked with all things needed, just bring food. Very clean and the bed was very comfy. Thank you April for sharing your place..."
