"Came out to grab as many Visit Rainier Geotour geocaches as we could. Packwood was a pretty central location so we picked this property based on the size of beds (four adults over 6' each). It was a great choice! Fantastic place. Very clean. The only issue we had with our stay was Mother Nature. The first winter storm blew through while we were out geocaching. The entire Hwy 12 corridor from Morton to Naches lost power around 3pm. Sadly, this house doesn't have a generator. It does however have a gas stove inside and a charcoal grill outside. The house stayed plenty warm overnight so we weren't too upset about the loss of power. There were only a few emergency candles in the house so I would suggest any one looking to rent anywhere in this area, pack some extra flashlights."

"The home is well stocked with everything needed for a cabin vacation stay, and was very clean. Really liked the dining room/living room area with the open ceiling. Lots of games/movies. No neighbors were there and the house is several miles off main road- so very quiet. Nice back area with firepit and chairs/benches. The owner was courteous and responsive.
The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars is I'm a light sleeper and there is no soundproofing. I was in the bedroom downstairs and could hear every creak and snore from the upstairs area quite well. I wore earplugs and did fine. The open loft area upstairs can sleep a number of people, but there is only one bathroom for the house- so anything more than four will be a bit cramped.
Made a great base to do some of the amazing day hikes in Mt Ranier National Park."
