"Our family had a wonderful time at the Cowlitz Cabin for my birthday family getaway. The cabin sits right on the river with beautiful views from the windows and the deck. There are other homes in the area, but you cannot see any of them from the cabin, it is very private. The cabin is clean, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook meals. We would definitely go back to the Cowlitz Cabin!"

"We spent the long Thanksgiving weekend here for a fun family getaway. My husband, brother-in-law, three kids (ages 6,3, and 1), dog and I had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and well-stocked with everything you could need. I made Thanksgiving dinner here and was very pleasantly surprised to find the kitchen had all the tools that I needed, they really thought of everything! My kids loved tromping around in the woods around the house and relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect end to every day. The fireplaces in the main living room and the master bedroom keep everything toasty and give the house a nice, cozy feel. The fact that the place is named "Moosewood Manor" is just icing on the cake! My kids really got a kick out of the name, as well as the moose décor, and were so sad to leave. The house is very kid-friendly: lots of kids board games, books, a baby gate, and a high chair were all provided. It was also nice to be able to have our dog with us. Because we were there on a cold/rainy winter weekend, we didn't really get out and explore as much as we would have liked to but we're already contemplating a return in the summer when we can enjoy Mt. Rainier and maybe take a day trip to St. Helens. Thanks for a memorable holiday weekend!"

"Everything was exactly as the description said. The cabin was super clean, well stocked with everything we needed and very well maintained. The owner was prompt with a response and she was happy to accommodate our few special requests.
I would definitely recommend this cabin to friends and family."

"My family and I enjoyed a wonderful three days and nights at the Bear Hideaway during a recent visit to Mount Rainier National Park. This particular cabin is set above Packwood about a 2-3 minute drive from the edge of town on Highway 12. It is set amongst other very nice cabins in a separate community. The cabin has very nice views and is remote enough to enjoy some quite time out on the porch or deck. They key pad made it simple and eliminated the need for keys. We really liked the wood paneling and carpentry work throughout the house. The décor was simple but not cluttered. The rooms were spacious and not cramped. The furniture was comfy but not worn. The towels and linens were very clean as were all of the bathrooms and kitchen. We had purchased our groceries beforehand in Portland at Costco and the local farmers market. If you need any items to cook with this cabin has a very good majority of them including most spices. If you plan on grilling you can bring your own lighter fluid and charcoal or they sell it at the local hardware store. I used the surrounding brush/limbs to start my fire combined with the smallest bag of charcoal. The WiFi was spotty on our trip but worked for the most part and it was at no fault to the owner, the cabin is in the mountains so we understood. If you are the type who gets cold and not patient enough to light a fire I would suggest bringing a heavy blanket. The heaters try their best to heat the space. The beds were a bit firm for my liking but you can't please everyone. No real complaints.
Thank you Bryan for sharing your well maintained cabin!"
