  • Elk Trail Lodge

"What a beautiful place to stay. Elk roaming in the front yard and mountain peaks full of snow. It was everything and more than I had expected. Cabin was clean, cozy and had everything we needed. The owners had it decorated for Christmas which was great because it gave us a chance to have Christmas with my son who is stationed at Ft. Lewis. It was a couple hours drive from Seattle airport, but very easy to get to. I would recommend it to friends and relatives. If we go back, we will definitely stay there again. Mt. Rainier is absolutely breathtaking. Being from the south, playing in the snow was great. Thank you again Carie for a wonderful and relaxing time."

  • Cozy cabin, great location

"We stayed at Bob’s cabin over the weekend just a few weeks ago. Brought out of town guests to Mt. Rainier for some hiking and relaxation. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and hope to return. The cabin is homey and equipped with everything you need for a weekend or a few days away. The hot tub overlooking the river is a highlight and the kitchen has everything you need for basic meal prep. Love how organized the owners are too with the whole “welcome to the cabin” packet with a list of everything included. Makes packing/prep super easy. Only gripe of the weekend was the pluming (shower, bathroom) which backed up a few hours after we arrived HOWEVER, the owner was incredibly responsive and took the extra steps to be sure our experience was a positive one. We hope to return this winter as the cabin would be a great jumping off point for a local winter getaway at Crystal Mountain."

  • VERY FUN EXPERIANCE

"I was very impressed with this cabin. Very clean and well maintained. The thing I loved most about this place is that the price he quotes for the cabin is the price. Every other cabin I checked had cleaning fees and everything else. All you have to do is clean the cabin if you dont want to clean the cabin then he charges to clean it. I love that because my wife and I always want to leave a clean place anyways and Bob rewards you for doing so. This place is not secluded and is in a town like setting. I was disappointed with that but I was surprised that we were not bothered at all. So it turned out not to be a big deal everyone who wants to stay in a cabin I guess wants seclusion, so we all keep to our self. To summarize if you are looking for a camping type feel with a out door fire pit and hot tub this is the place. Plenty out door stuff to do like fishing and skiing. Very roomy cabin with flat screen TVs. I will definitely stay here again if Bob will have us."

  • Wonderful Cabin Experience

"We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay at the St. Helens cabin. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The photos don't do the cabin justice. It was even better than expected. Owner was very accommodating in arranging our last-minute getaway. The cabin location was incredible. We loved the seclusion and privacy. Although there are other cabins on the property, the layout and trees provide distance and privacy. We loved that the river was just a short, fun walk across the property. The cabin layout was awesome with plenty of room for larger groups. We had more than enough space being a family of four. We loved being able to sit around the fire pit and relax in the hot tub. The most notable thing about this cabin was the foresight and thought put into providing a clean and well maintained cabin. Everything you need, such as towels and linens, soap, kitchen items, even laundry detergent and fabric softener were provided with the washer and dryer. They make it easy to just arrive and enjoy your stay. They even provide a drawer of board games, as well as dvd's and cd's for entertainment. It was a wonderful cabin experience and we would definitely come here again!"
