"This is an awesome property; after 3 days of volleyball competition it was great to have the peace and quiet of this mountain property to host my Chicago friends. They were blown away. It was clean, plenty of space for team members; great kitchen; comfortable beds. We enjoyed walking around the area and taking the gondola at Crystal for lunch. Great for families, single folks."

"We stayed for 2 nights at the property. It is a house with lots of amazing details that made the house very unique and pretty. Each of the two bedrooms has a sitting area, which would make it very comfortable for two couples or a big family to stay. The property is also very close to the park entrance. We enjoyed the quiet environment and the flowers in the yard. Paul did a great job maintaining a beautiful house. Also, I must say that the bedding is truly of very high quality. I never stayed at any other VRBO properties that had better bedding.
I'd like to mention three more things, to me, they are not negatives, just want to provide tips for future explorers: (1) there is no wifi or cellphone signal in the house, if due to the characteristics of your work, you must be connected all the time, you might need to reconsider. For everyone else, we can just go to the local stores or restaurants to get wifi. (2) the stairs to second floor bedrooms might be a little steep for some seniors, need to pay attention especially coming downstairs. (3) If you plan to cook or BBQ, better bring your food in from cities on your way, the Ashford town center only has grocery stores similar to 7-11."

"To say this beautiful home is a cabin is an understatement. It's a well appointed, beautifully designed home in the woods. My husband and I spent 4 nights with 2 other couples in the Olmsted's cabin, with plenty of room to "breath", yet still be able to enjoy the common area as a group for games or watching movies.
Amenities: Everything was as described, plus Marilyn has thought of everything you could want for cooking meals at in the great kitchen in the cabin.
Maintenance/cleanliness: The cabin is very well taken care of and very clean
Marilyn was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns that I had. Her typical response time via email was less than 2 hours.
A couple of tips:
* All 6 of us didn't have a single bar of cell service the entire time we were in Packwood (At&T and T-Mobile) - print your stay details out in advance so you don't have to rely on cell data!
* Throw blankets are in the ottoman in the living room
* The internet is a bit slow, especially if multiple devices are using it at once
* There are 2 great trails directly behind the cabin
In short, everyone loved the vacation and we'll definitely book the cabin in the future if we find ourselves considering the area."
