  • Thanksgiving Family Getaway

"We spent the long Thanksgiving weekend here for a fun family getaway. My husband, brother-in-law, three kids (ages 6,3, and 1), dog and I had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and well-stocked with everything you could need. I made Thanksgiving dinner here and was very pleasantly surprised to find the kitchen had all the tools that I needed, they really thought of everything! My kids loved tromping around in the woods around the house and relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect end to every day. The fireplaces in the main living room and the master bedroom keep everything toasty and give the house a nice, cozy feel. The fact that the place is named "Moosewood Manor" is just icing on the cake! My kids really got a kick out of the name, as well as the moose décor, and were so sad to leave. The house is very kid-friendly: lots of kids board games, books, a baby gate, and a high chair were all provided. It was also nice to be able to have our dog with us. Because we were there on a cold/rainy winter weekend, we didn't really get out and explore as much as we would have liked to but we're already contemplating a return in the summer when we can enjoy Mt. Rainier and maybe take a day trip to St. Helens. Thanks for a memorable holiday weekend!"

  • Cozy cabin, great location

"We stayed at Bob’s cabin over the weekend just a few weeks ago. Brought out of town guests to Mt. Rainier for some hiking and relaxation. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and hope to return. The cabin is homey and equipped with everything you need for a weekend or a few days away. The hot tub overlooking the river is a highlight and the kitchen has everything you need for basic meal prep. Love how organized the owners are too with the whole “welcome to the cabin” packet with a list of everything included. Makes packing/prep super easy. Only gripe of the weekend was the pluming (shower, bathroom) which backed up a few hours after we arrived HOWEVER, the owner was incredibly responsive and took the extra steps to be sure our experience was a positive one. We hope to return this winter as the cabin would be a great jumping off point for a local winter getaway at Crystal Mountain."

  • Great Stay!!!

"We had a great stay in Tom's place. All the amenities are there. The place was clean and well kept. Sleeping accommodations are spacious. We especially enjoyed the presence of the elk in the area as it is on an elk preserve. Top marks to to Tom the owner to do business with. He was thorough and prompt with all correspondences. Also, very good dining options in Enumclaw, especially The Mint - 20 mins away.If you're looking to stay in the area, this is a great place! Mike from Buffalo NY."

The area is known for its fertile estuaries and centuries-old landmarks.
