"Had a GREAT time. The condo was very clean, cozy and has more cookware than my house ! That is always a plus! Enjoyed the electric fireplace and the excellent hot tubs across the hall! We will definitely be going back next year ! The owners were fantastic!"

"We had a great time at the cabin. It's very well maintained and the residential cat is very friendly and tolerated my 4 year old constantly hugging him. The setting is gorgeous. While having coffee on the porch in the mornings we were lucky to see doe playing and when walking the trails encountered a buck as well as several more doe. This was a very relaxing vacation and we are already discussing a return. Thank you Teresa!"

"We recently stayed in this unit for 9 nights and it was a wonderful experience! I would not hesitate to stay there again.
The condo was very clean with daily service and had tons of plates and silverware. Lots of stove items as well, but if you want to make something specific, I recommend bringing the tools along just in case :)
We invited my in-laws over for one of the weekends we were there, and the unit had more than enough room for the six of us and the 9 days-worth of food we brought with us. The rooms somehow managed to be spacious and have an abundance of storage, which was honestly my favorite part about this unit. One of the rooms is clearly a master bedroom, with a private full bath, while the other room is a bit smaller with a full bath attached to the hallway.
Location-wise, the condo itself is a little farther away from the ski-in/ski-out exit than other ML units, but that just meant that we didn't have to hear the CLUNK CLUNK from all the ski boots walking past our door, which was a big annoyance for us when we stayed in other units in ML. The unit is also on the first floor, and was close to one of the parking lot doors, making it really handy to get in and out for dinner etc.
Mountain Lodge itself is right at the Ballhooter lift, making it a GREAT place to start your Snowshoe skiing. The Village isn't too far away, and walking to the Village's shuttle stop (which gives you access to all of Snowshoe's locations) is easily do-able in ski boots.
The only negatives I can even think of were that one of the bedrooms shares a wall with the hallway and that can get a bit noisy if you want to sleep in, but as long as you keep your sleep schedule aligned with the quiet hours, that shouldn't be a problem. We didn't have any problems with people disrespecting the quiet hours :)"

"We typically vacation at the beach each year, but as our toddler gets older we wanted to do something different this year. We picked Elk Branch Lodge because of the great reviews and the remote setting - what a nice place!
The lodge is a nice rustic place with everything we needed - and more.
The endless variety of things to do meant we never really had to leave, though we did take a few road trips to nearby places like Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw Tunnel, Cacapon and Sleepy Creek. There were plenty of trails near the lodge, board games to play and a classic collection of VHS tapes to watch. Once the toddler was off to bed, we were able to end the day with a relaxing soak in the hot tub under the stars before turning in ourselves.
All-in-all we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at the lodge and will definitely come back again."
