"Wonderful. All around wonderful!
From the start, Chrissie was a wonderful host to deal with when making the arrangement. She always got back to me right away with any questions or concerns I might have had.
The cabin itself was just as described. For just my husband and myself, it was more than enough space.
The main bed downstairs was very comfortable and all the pillows were lovely. The towels in the bathroom are very nice and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could need.
The only heads up that I would give someone who is interested in renting is to remember that this is a pet friendly cabin. While the cabin was very clean, there was just enough "pet" still around to have us both reaching for our allergy meds.
It also might not be a bad idea to either bring water in to use in drinks or to boil it. It does come from a well and has that sulfur smell to it."

Great location with a very responsive and friendly owner.
"The location was great, with a shuttle stop right by the entrance way to Leatherbark. Nevertheless, the walk over to the main village was approximately 5-8 minutes (basically to the Starbucks). I would definitely recommend staying here, even though at first, I was hesitant and skeptical because of the payment method, but was reassured by the number of positive reviews and the responsiveness and helpfulness of the owner, Tandy. The place has 2 floors with the master bedroom downstairs and a room upstairs with the queen and two twin beds; and right outside of the upstairs bedroom is a pull-out sofa bed. My only recommendation would be to place the sofa bed downstairs in the living room, because it really restricted the movements of the people inside the upstairs bedroom. Either way, the unit was terrific and would have fit 8 people just fine, but we ended up with only 7 of us. Additionally, being our 2nd season at Snowshoe, we highly recommend people stay somewhere on top of the resort area, because we made the mistake one time last year by staying off the resort area, at a house off the mountain, bad idea. The ease and convenience of staying on the mountain top resort vicinity will easily be worth the cost of staying there versus off the mountain, given the probability of running into bad weather conditions, hence turning driving conditions into a nightmare (just be warned). Anyways, the unit was great and we would definitely like to stay again; and we highly recommend this unit.
Tandy, thanks again for everything!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Spruce Run Lodge. Although there was no snow (even though we were there on Christmas Day!) we had fun relaxing by the fireplace and sitting in the hot tub. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. A few days with our kids (and dog) without cell phones gave us time to talk, play games, cook dinners, watch Christmas movies and just hang out together."
