"Our family has been vacationing in Canaan Valley for about 20 years. Because we enjoy skiing at Timberline & want to do lots of it when we are there, it's important that we have easy access to the slopes. Rippling Waters has convenient slopeside access, along with a clean & comfortable home, well-stocked with essentials and everything in working order. We have also stayed in other Canaan Home Properties--Robyn's Nest & Mountain Near and have been very pleased. We have rented other properties in the area, but prefer to rent from this owner. The owners are responsive & accommodating, even when we've booked at the last minute or changed our minds."

"This trip was planned to get away and enjoy some family time. Our two bedroom cabin was the perfect size for our family. Our two kids loved the bunk beds! The fireplace made the cabin cozy and heated the cabin well. It rained the whole weekend, but we will be back to explore! The cabin was clean and well furnished. We cooked burgers on the grill the first night and a full blown "Thanksgiving" meal the next night. We enjoyed our stay- thank you for allowing us to stay in your "little piece of heaven"!"

"Good unit for a short stay. Well equipped. All kitchen appliances are "studio style" so they're a bit small -this was perfectly fine for us as we were only staying 2 nights. The freezer was very tiny though, fair warning! We used a cooler for some extra beverages. Stayed naturally cold on the balcony.
Queen Bed was comfortable (sofa bed is like any other sofa bed... A little thin) and bedroom stayed completely dark even when it was very light out (window goes out to hallway so not much reason to open it)
Internet is notoriously bad at Snowshoe. If you really need internet access, the owner of this has other units with dedicated wireless internet that will be way faster. But it met our very basic needs at times. But we're mostly there to ski and get off our screens. :)
The building is older, and around 8 AM you start hearing ski boots, etc outside your door if you're in the bedroom, but can't hear it from the living room. But you should be at snowshoe to ski, not sleep in, so not too much of an issue.
Location can't be beat and while the building is older the views are pretty and unit is very nicely renovated. Great place for the price."

"Our family experience at the Timbers 5 was outstanding. The condo, area, skiing, restaurants and transportation were all wonderful.
Only advice I would pass on to rental vacationers who like to ski is that a Monday-Friday rental might be more enjoyable. As wonderful as the slopes are, with so many lifts and runs, it got very crowded on Saturday. Alternatively it was incredible skiing during the week.
Otherwise a great job by Kip fitting the condo rental to our needs and by Snowshoe as a whole. What an amazing resort...."
