"We had a great time at Top of the Ridge cabin. We stayed at this secluded place for 3 days and it was a large gathering. Firstly, I would like to start with the owner. Scott was very helpful answering all the questions I had. We must have exchanged about 20 emails and he replied to them all. ;) The whole deal with directions, house keys and accommodation was made so simple! Oh and the information packet he sent was really, well, informational.
We reached late in the night, so the first time I was really wow'd by the place was when I looked around the place in the morning. The view is incredible!
The place has everything, the kitchen is fully loaded, the entertainment stuff is awesome - it's more than anyone could use! The beds are comfortable and the baths are clean and spacious. We had to work on our laptops for a bit on one of the days - the internet supported many laptops and mobiles connected without major issues. We played corn hole, pool, table tennis and soccer outside.
The patio is great. The view is awesome from here. There's a fireplace and an outdoor grill. We pretty much spent most the 3 nights here! We'd have loved for the hot tub to be on the patio, but there's too many fun stuff about the place apart from that.
We visited Whitaker falls and Blackwater falls, our main intention was to spend as much time as possible in the cabin. We did see a couple of bears on Knob Drive on our way back, no big deal!
We would love to visit the place again. Thank you Scott!"

Nice weekend at Treetops, Cacapon State Park and Berkeley Springs
"My husband and I, with two other couples, chose Cacapon State Park for our annual hiking weekend destination and we rented Treetops Cottage. The house was comfortable and clean with lots of seating area in the living room and a wonderful wood burning stove, with lots of wood provided. There was a large deck and screened in porch area also. The kitchen was relatively small but well-equipped and totally adequate. We all slept well in comfortable double (or larger) beds. The owner was extremely responsive through the booking process and answered all of my many questions with almost immediate email responses and phone calls. What we most appreciated was that because the house was not booked immediately before and after our stay, the owner gave us great flexibility in check in and check out times, which amounted to our having almost a full extra day to enjoy the area. Very generous! and made the weekend feel much less hurried. There was great hiking in the park (about a 10 minute drive from the house) and several of us went trap shooting for the first time ever at the park (reservations are a good idea). We had never shot before and the instructor, Arnold, was outstanding-- extremely patient, knowledgeable, helpful and good-humored. Enjoyed dinner in Berkeley Springs (also about 10 minutes drive from the house) one night at Cottage Inn/ParkView restaurant and all of us (including the vegetarians) had good meals. The staff there was most accommodating as some in our party wanted to watch a particular football game, so they willingly adjusted the TVs to our preferences. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay, recommend the house, and look forward to returning in the future."

Great Location and Perfect Set-Up for a Large Group Stay on the Mountain
"We had a group of 13 staying for a long weekend at Snowshoe for skiing/snowboarding and other winter fun! We had plenty of space for our group and the convenience/amenities provided by this unit definitely contributed to the success of our weekend. We loved the ski/snowboard room at the back of the house, just by the entrance to the slopes. Having this space conveniently located by the back door, where we could get all suited up and ready to go without having to track snow/ice through the rest of the house, was outstanding! The hot tub was a great amenity and we cooked a big pasta dinner in the kitchen. The garage had been converted to a large room with 4 bunk beds, a sofa and tv with PS3 - this was the perfect room for the single guys on our trip, but I can imagine it would be a great room for teenagers travelling with a family as well. The downstairs even had a full bathroom with a shower which meant the guys didn't have to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to a shower. The only complaint to our stay was that the hot tub was only around 55degrees when we arrived so it took until the 2nd day before it was warm enough to use."

"We were very pleased with the accommodations at Fazenda! The home was much bigger than what the pictures show. The kids loved the crows nest and the adults enjoyed all of the windows! We literally were perched in the treetops! We can't wait to return in warmer weather!
We spent most of our time at black water falls and hiking the trails nearby the house. It was just what we wanted!"
