  • New Year's Ski Trip

"We just got back from our first visit to Snowshoe and are so glad we chose Creekside Villas. It is right next to the Silver Creek Ski are and we easily walked there for night skiing every night. We also used the shuttle daily to get to the main ski area and it was pretty regular and only took a few minutes. Not having to drive was awesome. Also, having the HUGE room to store gear for 15 people was the greatest part of this house. It was clean, nicely furnished, and well-equipped- little details like soap, hair-dryers, and a spice rack were much appreciated! Our only complaints were first the lack of counter space in the kitchen, however we still were able to cook all our meals in and there was room to eat together. We also thought the "teen" area downstairs could have used a bigger tv. Our teens ended up upstairs with us most nights and we were very cozy all together! Neither of these complaints would prevent us from booking again though. The purpose of our trip was to eat, drink, ski and be together and this house made all of those things easy!"

"The condo was very nice. It was very warm, beautiful inside, all kitchen equipment needed. Very clean and great location. Very close to Snowshoe Resort, gas station and shops. We didn't meet the owner, but we didnt need help with anything."

  • West Virginia Cabin

"Stayed here early October for 3 days (spouse and dog). The cabin is remote, quiet area and beautiful. Right beside the Greenbrier Trail allowing you biking, walking and enjoying wildlife (deer etc). Cabin is perfect. Deck has ample room for relaxing, reading and enjoying your favourite beverages. You can get to the cabin with your car (grade is steep but slow 2wd front drive on dry day works) Having a 4WD is better if weather turns (rain, snow). Once we arrived with our grocery stocks, stayed there for 3 days (need to get out to open and close 2 barnyard gates every time you leave the cabin). It was a great stay, beautiful setting for the cabin, quiet nights... It was amazing being right down in the forest next to the beautiful river and trail. There is a TV for dvd movies and or games (no cable). The cabin was nice, clean, and comfortable (well stocked with dishes, pans, pots). NO CELL PHONE service but a land line at the house for emergencies. Would recommend you bring your own hair blower (there was none there). I would definitely recommend this property to anyone especially pet dog owners. Before arriving we visited CASS (scenic railroad rides couple hrs north), Shoshone mtn skiing (sight seeing), Droop Mtn Battlefield 25 mins away and of course Lewisburg (15 mins) is very nice."

  • Clean, Decent Place to Stay

"This unit is a nice, clean third floor condo with a great view of the slopes and very convenient to the slopes (truly ski in and ski out) as well as the restaurants/shops in the Snowshoe Village Center. The convenience to everything is what makes this unit nice. If you are going to ski from sun-up to sun-down then this place is for you. You should know that the Mountain Lodge is a very tired looking (and feeling) place, kind of worn out and out dated, so isn't the best of you want to spend your time lounging. The internet is also horrible - we didn't care because we didn't go to Snowshoe to surf the internet - but if you are looking to do any kind of work or stay connected while you are there, you will need to go down to the common areas (lobby) to do it. Also, while there is a pool nearby, it is not connected to the building, and use of the pool is NOT included in what you pay. We were told it would cost $20 extra to pay for the pool. So the pool is not included in this price. If we had to do it again we would look elsewhere, but for the price and for what we were after (non-stop skiing) then this place worked fine and was very clean and in good condition."
