"This place was so great. We had a group of 10 people and initially I thought it would be cramped based on the pictures, but when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. There's plenty of room and a lot of things were provided (kitchen stuff, blankets, towels, etc.) The shuttle was really convenient-it's only a few flights of stairs away or even right where you park (one time we were taking snowboards out of the car and a shuttle just stops right behind us). Depending on which slope you want to go, you might not even need to ride a shuttle-just walk. As it is mentioned, there a deer you can see from the balcony. There's so many that come around and it's so cute. I have to mention how helpful the owners were. I emailed them so many times about various questions I had. They were so patient and answered every question. I definitely recommend people to stay here."

"The owners have several units in the building. This is a review for 2BR/2Ba unit that faces the pool.
The building is definitely showing its age but this overall was a very nice condominium. The unit is very clean and nicely furnished with everything that you need. We stayed with our two young children on MLK weekend. Despite the holiday, the Silver Creek side of the mountain was still pretty quiet and the slopes were not too crowded. Magic carpet right out the door for my a 3 yo and plenty of runs to keep my 6 yo intermediate skier entertained. The tubing hill is very close to the condo, another plus for the kids. Having such easy access to the indoor/outdoor pool was a great amenity to burn off the rest of the kids' energy at the end of the day. Only complaint would be that we had some noisy neighbors across the hall, but that's really out of the control of the owners and was easily fixed with earplugs. (I also think you run that risk in a condo on any holiday weekend at most east coast ski resorts.) It looked like the restaurant pickings were a little thin in the Silver Creek area but we were cooking our meals in the condo, so that's more an observation than a complaint. The other side of the mountain might be better for people who wanted to eat all their meals out. Jeff and Robin made the whole process go very smoothly and we appreciate their hospitality!"

"My 3 daughters, 2 granddaughters, and I stayed at Lazy Day River Retreat when we visited Berkley Springs. The house was wonderful! Three nicely furnished bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds refreshed us each night. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need and was clean, clean, clean. Friday we went to Cacapon State Park and rode horses and when we got back to the house we climbed into the hot tub to relax our tired muscles. It was super clean with no strong smell of chemicals and just the right temperature. We sat there, talked, and enjoyed the views of nature. Saturday it rained most of the day BUT we found Downton Abbey in the extensive video library--there's something for everyone and lots of new releases. Someone finally pried the control from my hand and we left Downton for Grand Torino. Ate at the Panorama Restaurant and returned for another session in the hot tub and a cozy fire in the fireplace. Did I tell you how much I enjoyed the hot tub? The house is in a private neighborhood with very few neighbors, an extremely large lot with pawpaw trees and a wrap-a-round deck with table, chairs and, yes, a great hot tub! I like to go barefooted in the house and the carpets were clean and super soft! The hardwood floors were shiny and smooth but not slippery. If you are going to the state park from the house, take Cold Valley Road--it is a scenic shortcut. I can't wait to go back!"

"We will definitely be coming back to Snowshoe and will try to get this condo. The first floor location was centrally located in the building so it was easy to get everywhere. It was right next to the Village restaurants and shops. The condo was immaculate and I felt like I was home."
