Great location with a very responsive and friendly owner.
"The location was great, with a shuttle stop right by the entrance way to Leatherbark. Nevertheless, the walk over to the main village was approximately 5-8 minutes (basically to the Starbucks). I would definitely recommend staying here, even though at first, I was hesitant and skeptical because of the payment method, but was reassured by the number of positive reviews and the responsiveness and helpfulness of the owner, Tandy. The place has 2 floors with the master bedroom downstairs and a room upstairs with the queen and two twin beds; and right outside of the upstairs bedroom is a pull-out sofa bed. My only recommendation would be to place the sofa bed downstairs in the living room, because it really restricted the movements of the people inside the upstairs bedroom. Either way, the unit was terrific and would have fit 8 people just fine, but we ended up with only 7 of us. Additionally, being our 2nd season at Snowshoe, we highly recommend people stay somewhere on top of the resort area, because we made the mistake one time last year by staying off the resort area, at a house off the mountain, bad idea. The ease and convenience of staying on the mountain top resort vicinity will easily be worth the cost of staying there versus off the mountain, given the probability of running into bad weather conditions, hence turning driving conditions into a nightmare (just be warned). Anyways, the unit was great and we would definitely like to stay again; and we highly recommend this unit.
Tandy, thanks again for everything!"

"What a great place and such a good location. At first I was a little disappointed because the place was not new and/or updated with the latest and greatest. That feeling didn’t last long….it very quickly turned into the perfect spot for our multiple families. The kids loved being able to ski back to the house….the shuttle was perfect for those not willing to come down Shay’s Revenge. (Even though it was just a short distance from the lift) We rented the top and bottom and both were very well cleaned. The owner was very responsive. We would definitely consider this home again."

Great Location and Perfect Set-Up for a Large Group Stay on the Mountain
"We had a group of 13 staying for a long weekend at Snowshoe for skiing/snowboarding and other winter fun! We had plenty of space for our group and the convenience/amenities provided by this unit definitely contributed to the success of our weekend. We loved the ski/snowboard room at the back of the house, just by the entrance to the slopes. Having this space conveniently located by the back door, where we could get all suited up and ready to go without having to track snow/ice through the rest of the house, was outstanding! The hot tub was a great amenity and we cooked a big pasta dinner in the kitchen. The garage had been converted to a large room with 4 bunk beds, a sofa and tv with PS3 - this was the perfect room for the single guys on our trip, but I can imagine it would be a great room for teenagers travelling with a family as well. The downstairs even had a full bathroom with a shower which meant the guys didn't have to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to a shower. The only complaint to our stay was that the hot tub was only around 55degrees when we arrived so it took until the 2nd day before it was warm enough to use."

"We had a wonderful time sharing Logger's Run 7 with two other families for our first trip to Snowshoe. The kids loved the bunk rooms, and the adults were comfortable on the 3rd floor. Kitchen is well-equipped with pots and pans and cooking tools. I think our favorite item in the house was the book with the history of Snowshoe--we loved learning some of the interesting details!"
