  • Awesome Snowshoe Rental

"The location of this house could hardly be better, only a few short steps away from Upper Flume, above J-Hook, giving you easy access to Soaring Eagle and Ballhooter lifts. Being an end unit, with a garage, we were able to park 4 cars at the house. The second floor contains the main common areas of the house, with a nicely equipped kitchen, a large dining room table (seats 12) and a living room with a decently sized TV, wrap around couch and plenty of floor space. Our group of 12 adults and 3 children easily congregated on this floor with room to spare. The 5 bedrooms are slightly small, but given the location this is a reasonable trade off. Most of the beds are King or Queen, with several bunk beds. All of the adults were able to sleep in a real bed, which can be tricky when your group gets this large. The house has a Netflix enabled Blu-Ray player for entertainment. This came in handy with the toddler. Overall, this is our favorite house compared to the other 4 or 5 we've rented on the mountain. We hope to reserve it again, or at least another in Logger's run for our future visits to Snowshoe."

  • warm, cozy cabin

"We had a great time at thevcabin, it is located in a beautiful area of West Virginia. It is remote enough to get away from it all, but with all the amenities (like satellite TV, dishwasher, laundry, full kitchen, fireplace, porch with grill) you would want in a cabin. The owners were great and very helpful including checking on us the first day and helping when we got a flat tire on our car. The only downside was how close the cabin was to a busy road, which meant you could hear cars and trucks throughout the night. This was easily fixed for the light sleeper in our party with earplugs. We traveled with a crawling infant and the cabin was so clean that we didn't worry about him on the floors. Fishing is a big deal in the area but we also enjoyed a little hiking and visiting the caverns. It was also dog friendly, which we really appreciated. Would stay again!"

  • MLK Weekend

"We had a wonderful experience. The owner was always prompt to respond to questions and was even so kind to purchase a crockpot for the condo for us to use. It was nice having dinner ready to go after a day on the slopes! We really appreciated him doing that so we didn't have to bring our own. Given that it was a holiday weekend, there were lots of people staying in the building itself so it was a little noisier than we would have liked. There's a 10 pm "quiet rule," but sometimes people don't abide by it. The condo is near the arcade but we never heard noise from that-just noise from people in the hall. The condo's location is ideal. Very convenient to the Village, the pools, the provisions store and equipment rental. It was nice having a TV in the bedroom, too. The pots and pans weren't the best as the non-stick is starting to show wear, but I wasn't expecting high-end cookware. If you're a gourmet cook planning on staying a full week you may want to bring your own favorite pot or pan. Otherwise for a few days, the cookware is perfectly fine and almost everything you need is on hand. If you do cook and have leftovers, bring some containers for those. The owners seem to be very conscientious about keeping the place up and were absolutely wonderful to rent from! Tremendously helpful with information about the building, amenities, local interests, ski rentals, etc. You can tell they want you to enjoy your stay. We'll hope to stay there again and recommend it to others."
