  • Best spot on the slope

"Once again, we rented this unit for the 2nd year in a row. We love the bed configuration in the 2nd bedroom (2 bunk beds) and the ease to get to all areas of the slopes. We can ski out, walk to Western territory, walk to the village and take the shuttle over to silver creek. The other perk that I must mention are the extras, the coffee, having all the filters, sugar, paper products, towels for kitchen/batch soap for kitchen and batch as well. This makes it so easy to travel. I will add this unit is getting a little "tired" looking- and there was a recent leak in the ceiling with buckets near the fireplace. But I will say it was clean upon arrival."

  • Great Location! Great Vacation!

"We recently stayed in the Powderidge unit. It was excellent! The location is right on the ski out so very easy to come and go to the unit throughout the day. Great to avoid the long lines at lunch in the village! You could roll out of bed and be on the slopes in 15 minutes. The rooms were great! We stayed in the "master" and the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate. We had a family of 4 stay in the bunk bed room. The kids loved the bunk beds (they had to take turns sleeping on the top) and it was nice to have everyone together in the same room. We did use the pull-out couch and it was comfortable. Wifi was available and pretty fast! The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans. There were enough dishes and glasses to have an army over (great, great, great!)! The dishwasher made cleaning up easy. There was more than enough storage space to keep all the food necessary for a long weekend. Only caution - the entryway is tile and can be slippery in your ski gear. So, quickly change into a pair of slippers and get ready to sit by the warm fire. This is an excellent unit in an excellent location. Definitely will be a return customer!"

  • Perfect for a big family!

"All I can say is: "Perfect!" This was the first time that we have done this as a big family, and we had a blast. The condo felt like home, and there is nothing that I would change. We hope to do this again next year."

  • Nice weekend at Treetops, Cacapon State Park and Berkeley Springs

"My husband and I, with two other couples, chose Cacapon State Park for our annual hiking weekend destination and we rented Treetops Cottage. The house was comfortable and clean with lots of seating area in the living room and a wonderful wood burning stove, with lots of wood provided. There was a large deck and screened in porch area also. The kitchen was relatively small but well-equipped and totally adequate. We all slept well in comfortable double (or larger) beds. The owner was extremely responsive through the booking process and answered all of my many questions with almost immediate email responses and phone calls. What we most appreciated was that because the house was not booked immediately before and after our stay, the owner gave us great flexibility in check in and check out times, which amounted to our having almost a full extra day to enjoy the area. Very generous! and made the weekend feel much less hurried. There was great hiking in the park (about a 10 minute drive from the house) and several of us went trap shooting for the first time ever at the park (reservations are a good idea). We had never shot before and the instructor, Arnold, was outstanding-- extremely patient, knowledgeable, helpful and good-humored. Enjoyed dinner in Berkeley Springs (also about 10 minutes drive from the house) one night at Cottage Inn/ParkView restaurant and all of us (including the vegetarians) had good meals. The staff there was most accommodating as some in our party wanted to watch a particular football game, so they willingly adjusted the TVs to our preferences. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay, recommend the house, and look forward to returning in the future."
