"Our families could not have chosen a better cabin for our 4-day weekend getaway. The large cabin had plenty of rooms, a large living room area and a large kitchen and dining room, where we spent time playing board games and enjoying each others company. Having two bathrooms as well as a laundry room made it nice since we had multiple families for the stay. The fire pit area was perfect with plenty of room for 10+ people to sit around the camp fire every night. And the 40+ acres made it great for long walks in the woods, allowing the kids to explore nature.
We enjoyed being close to the Tygart Lake, where we rented a large pontoon boat for a day of cruising the lake, fishing and letting the kids swim. We also enjoyed the Tygart River as well as Laurel Creek which are very close.
We all loved this place, all had a great time, and will definitely return in the future!"

"Our time at the Mountain Mama was vastly different from our regular lives as Washington, DC residents. By day the cabin is filled with light and the porch is a delightful lounge area with views of the mountains (and often the cows grazing on them). After dark, the lack of light pollution in the vicinity combined with the silence of rural WV provides for a tranquil and restful environment.
The cabin itself is well-stocked, and all you have to bring is yourself! We were there in the summer, but surprised by how much there is to do in Snowshoe Village even without the snow. Take the ski lift to the lake, where you can kayak, relax on the (lake) beach, and even play a friendly game of curling. There are numerous trails (ask the visitor center for directions to "Fingers"), bike slopes, and restaurants for a nice drink or meal."

"Great condo in a great location. Just right for our family of 5. Easy access to the slopes and a short walk into the village. The condo was stocked with everything we needed including a crockpot so we could come in from the slopes at lunchtime for a hot bowl of soup. Updated decor with a nice cabin feel. We are already planning our trip for next year and will definitely stay here again."

"We were very pleased with the accommodations at Fazenda! The home was much bigger than what the pictures show. The kids loved the crows nest and the adults enjoyed all of the windows! We literally were perched in the treetops! We can't wait to return in warmer weather!
We spent most of our time at black water falls and hiking the trails nearby the house. It was just what we wanted!"
